Need A Mentor To Help Get Me Back On Track
That is exactly right. Start your liquid diet. After a couple of days it will get easier I promise. It was for me any ways. Then I called my doc on Monday and asked for a rush about before I had a chance to change my mind. I was so ashamed that I put this off for a year. Ugh!!! They were so happy I came in. they will know you are beating yourself up over this. Time to stop using that excuse and get into the right track!!!!!! Good luck, I think today is the day...

Husband Is So Supportive, But.....
I would probably try a teasing attempt first..... When he has moved onto his little debbies, look at him with puppy do eyes, and wipe your mouth like you are drooling....."sure wish you had a snack that you could eat". Or when you are buying healthy, try doubling up?? Maybe he didn't consider your healthy Snacks as snacks??? Does he realize that what he is eating is your budgeted snack? Good luck!!!

Walking Shoes
New Balance is excellent. Try several on because they have three different types of molds, where most only have one. Merrill I have heard is great, but never tried them, because I have family that works for new balance and get discounts.

Need A Mentor To Help Get Me Back On Track
I am just a few weeks in front of you, but did the same thing. I have more excuses then anyone could dream up on why I needed to wait and eat correctly tomorrow. Finally, I come in here, yay!!! I stopped eating mid day on a Friday even. I started right back at my preop diet and following every rule to the exact. I am doing much much better this time around. Not allowing my mind games to control, nor the food!!! I spend lots of time in here when I want to eat. Soo, good luck. You can do this!!!!! Have fun, and enjoy the challenge.

It's None Of Your Business!
I told people simply because I wanted to be held accountable. The band is simply a tool, not much different then ww, or nutra system. I knew I wouldn't let them change my mind, so it didn't matter what they thought. But I did feel the added scrutiny wouldn't hurt. And tmf is right, I believe most speak up out if concern and good intention. Best of luck!!!

Thanks for the replies. I have a call in, and waiting to hear back, but sometimes this site had more knowledge...lol

Fitbit With Myfitnesspal
Does anyone use the fitbit? I wish I understood more about allowing more calorie intake with exercise. If I am exercising and not increasing my calories, (not hungry) will my body store and lose slower then if I increase the calories?? And should they be protien calories out can it be veggies and fruit?? Thanks for any insight.

Pcp Problems?
My pcp was very against it also. I had to jump through hoops for over a year with dietitians, nutritionists, physical trainers and such before she was on board. I have a spinal chord injury that did not even away her, until the rest signed off that the band was my best option. Glad your doc just didn't like your first choice . God luck

Need A Mentor To Help Get Me Back On Track
Hey, I was banded in 09, and am a very slow loser. I lost 40 pounds over six months, then maintained for a year or more. Then in the last year gained 30 back. A few weeks back I came in here to get help. I am doing awesome!! Better then when first banded. I read the threads until I thought my eyes would bleed...lol but you can learn so much about what works best and new food ideas. Best of luck, you lost 80 pounds, do you know you can do it!!!!!

July Summer Challenge
I wish I had seen this thread. do you do this challenge every month??? I hope so, I love it.

Anyone Try Advocare?!?!?
I agree Kim. I diet to lose even with the band. I love to eat, plain and simple. I an not an emotional eater, not a stress eater. I eat because I love the hobby of eating....lol Yes the band helps, but it doesn't make me not want to eat. I struggle every single day. Some days I do it for my help. Some days I do it to look better. Some days I do it for my back and spinal cord injury. Allot of days I lost the battle and didn't eat right at all. Soo, along with my band and healthy eating life style changes, I also throw in diets and different routines and gimmicks. Anything that works for me at the time.

What Restaurants Accept The Lapband Id Card?
You are basically telling them what to serve you. I do not think many places will grant them. I order an appetizer or fish. It is not the restaurants' fault we eat less now. Most people complain servings are not big enough. My hubby loves that he gets a late night snack now that I bring half mine home.

Losing Weight During The Pre-Op Diet
I barely lost either, and after it was/is a very slow process....don't get discouraged. You didn't gain it in two weeks remember......best of luck.

Do You Have A Favorite Brand Of Protein Shakes?
I like the gnc also. I joined the gold club and the first week of the month they give you 10% off, and if you go to a rite aid, you get their discount also. Good luck

Starving :(
They are not amazing...lol and I do not remember them filling me up, but they are great if you are low on protien for the day. I think finding something to do is the best solution. Stop putting so much thought into the fact that you are on liquids, and more on what you will do for exercise tomorrow.

Anyone Not Tighter In The Am?
I have been banded since 09 and never tighter in the morning. It is quite consistent. Sometimes when I go to bed, I feel like the day of a fill, in my chest. It is like I can feel myself breathing.

To Snack Or Not To Snack....
Gr rrr , auto correct. Tons of space, and don't, not doing sorry for the typos.

To Snack Or Not To Snack....
The total protien and size of your meal is more important then calories. I also just started the my fitness pal and love it. Uses tings of space on my phone tho, and eats the battery. I only count calories because if I stay at 700/800 like they suggest, I doing lose. I need to hover around a thousand. If I take in more then 1300 I will maintain only. The exercising and adding calories is new to me, so eager to set if I lose this week. Good luck
