Hello Everyone, I am fairly new to this site and have found it very helpful. I have recently been approved for surgery, I will be going for my pre-op on September 8th and scheduled for surgery on September 14th, 2009. Does anyone have any advise on what to expect? or what can I do to prepare mentally and physically? My doctor did not have me go on the liquid diet, he just said to prepare for pre-op and surgery. Any and all advise is welcome. Look forward to hearing from everyone

  3. Amy, Thank you for taking the time to answer all of my questions. After reading your message I have decided make sure to drink only water from now on. What else would you recommend I do? I will definitely keep you in mind if I have any questions. Your my go to girl from now on, thank you! P.S. Keep up the good work with your weight loss :frown:
  4. Hi, Thank you for taking the time to respond. I have actually had the psych evaluation, spoke with the nutritionist, spoke with my doctor, and the case manager. I received a call today from my doctors office and I have my pre-op on September 8th and surgery on September 14th. I am nerveous not sure what to expect. Since my doctor did not put me on a liquid diet prior to surgery, what do you recommend I do to make things easier afterwards? Also, what should I expect after surgery? How long will the surgery take? and how long were you in the hospital? I'm sorry for all of the questions...thank you in advance for your help. Take care...and thanks again.
  5. Hello Everyone, I just received a call from my insurance company approving me for surgery, I was so happy when I received the call. Would anyone be able to tell me what the next step is going to be what should I expect and what should I do to prepair? My doctor did not put me on the liquid diet. I do however need to start taking a ton of Vitamins before surgery. All comments and advise are welcome. Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.
