  1. How horrible for that to have happened to you in public. It has happened to me at home but thank god never while I have been out. I am so sorry. The up side to your story is it could have been a bite of anything, I eat broccoli all the time and broccolini too Thats better) and have no prpblem with any veggies...just gotta chew chew chew!
  2. I love CL and my doc has no problems with it. The lemonade is to acidic for me but I love the others!
  3. My husband was banded too so we are both loosing weight together, and we both love each other more than ever. I have a very strong marraige however it's still my opinion that if weight loss changes the way a partner feels or loves you it was not true love to begin with.
  4. Well it has happened to me. All of the above, sliming, PBing but I have not thrown up. To me throwing up is like when I have the flu and and I heave from deep down ... this is not the same, if food does come up it's like from higher up....does that make any sence??
  5. Wow you ate 191 and in a size 12! Awesome! How tall are you? I am 195 and in a size 16 I am 5 "8 1/2 Thanks to everyone who has replied!! Keep up the answers!
  6. Just wondering ladies.......How many pounds have you lost to equal one dress size lost? Just wondering what the numbers will look like?
  7. If we meet before your appointment that would be awesome as my son will be in school .... I will send you an email!
  8. Happy, you are doing sooo great! What time is your appointment with Jill tomorrow? Maybe we can meet if our schedules mesh? 8 pounds is awesome! Too bad we do not live closer, we could do the gym together!
  9. Hi Happy!! Hey coffee isnt that bad .... I drink 2 cups every morning and have No intention of giving it up!! The only calories it has are like the 10 cal of no fat milk in it!!
  10. Oh I know how you feel. My surgery was postponed 3 times! It was bad, I was even on the pre op diet 3 times! Talk about liquid diet hell! My advise for what its worth is to try to eat slow slow slow because after you are banded and after you are all healed up and eating real food again you MUST eat slow so you dont get stuck. AND getting stuck sucks! I just got stuck tonight and it's hell, I get so excited to eat dinner I regress and dont remember to go slow then WAMO stuck. so thats my advise .... try to eat slow!

  13. I have had a diet 7 up by my bed at night for forever and still do. I let most of the bubbles fade away but sipping on it if I wake up in the middle of the night is very refreshing to me. I have been banded for 3 months and have never given it up. I have also had a few glasses of champagne since being banded with no prolem......I just drink and eat very slow.
  14. I have the small lap band and my husband has the large lap band. No problems, we are both very happy.
  15. Breakfast: 7am: Coffee, 9am: 8oz no sugar cranberry juice with 36oz water, 10am: Greek no fat yogurt with 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed Snack: 4 oz meatloaf Lunch: Protein bar Dinner: cup of home made beef/lentil/barley soup. 3 cubes of cheese with 3 bites of baguette.
  16. I feel for you and am preparing to be bombarded this afternoon myself. I am going to the doctors today for my 3 month appointment and am still at a weight loss standstill. I am sure my skinny nurses will have some kinds of comments for me. One thing I am greatfull about is that I did not tell anyone except my husband and parents so the stranger comments will never happen. Hang tight! You are doing VERY well! I just thought I'd post because I can soooo relate right now.
  17. How are u feeling davsil? I am in the same boat right now. After my 2nd fill (that got me to 5.5 in my 10cc band) I felt great! Totally restricted, now its like its all leaked out? I go tomorrow for an appt and I am hopingthey will give me another fill.
  18. Breakfast: 2 egg's scrambled with some leftover steak & asparagus 1/2 a slice of toast Lunch: Greek Yogurt with flaxseed meal Dinner: Havent eaten yet but am planning Turkey Meatloaf and home made whole wheat pasta mac & cheese What's everyone else eating????
  19. I am stalled as well, the high protein diet I was loosing on has stopped. I guess my body is just used to it now. I just bought the fat flush book by Mary Louise Gittlemen and will go shopping for my groceries this weekend. My (non banded) friend lost 10 pounds her first week on it so I am going to do it. It's very basic but will take a lot of pre prep.
  20. Oh I am soooo jelous of everyone who has found their sweet spot. I have to BEG for fills, I have had 2 so far and am at 5.5 in my 10cc band. I go in on Monday for my 3 month post op visit and am hoping I can talk the doc into 1 more cc as I am still feeling hunger too often.
  21. It depends on the person, I wish I could do that but this is part of the reason I got up to 300 pounds in the first place....if it's around I will eat it and for a long time I had a (lets call him a room mate) who ate everything in sight, so I did too. I am better now but I still can not have too much in the house. I can not eat just one cookie, I eat the entire pack. Funny how with my band I cant eat a peice of meatloaf at times but a pack of Cookies would go down fine.
  22. First of all you need to have a chat with your husband. You need support and bringing home bad food is not supporting you. Make a decision now about how you will handle his food choices and then just say NO. You should still be on liquids so soon after surgery, spicy wings are NOT on your menu right now, they will be in time....then you can choose to have just one, not yet though.
  23. I feel your pain kim I have been doing the same thing! My doctors have abandoned me. I was self pay, tried to get in for one last fill before by 3 months was up and they said no and now wont return my call. I'm so mad at them but will not give up and will call again today. I googled the fill centers, it might be what I will have to do, can I ask you how much the fills are there?
  24. My 3 month bandaversary is in about a week. I am down 40 pounds and am very happy about my 40 but at the same time a bit dissapointed it's not more. I know I can not hit 50 in a week  But I weigh less than I did and am feeling MUCH better about it. How many cc's do you all have in your bands?
  25. Have you taken a pregnancy test? When I was pregnant (even before I found out) I was tired ALL the time, I could not make it through the day without a nap.
