I am scheduled for Aug 26th as well with Dr. Mehta. The hospital will be at Saint Barnabas in livingston NJ. Not such a hop skip and jump for me. I am a little nervous. I hope this surgery works for me. I had an unsuccessful gastric bypass several years ago.:w00t:

Hi all, I am set for August 26 to get the lapband surgery. I am a bit nervous. I meet with the surgeon Dr. Mehta in New Brunswick, NJ tomorrow. I had a gastric bypass several years ago that did not last. Then I met this doc who wants to try the band. I hate the way I look now. I had all the testing done. He does not require a pre diet. He only told me to try to take some weight off. Not working. I had thyroid cancer 3 years back and my levels still arent great. That adds to the weight problem. Does anyone have an example diet they could send me for when I am on clear liquids. I would apreciate it. You could reply to this or email me at jdz035@aol.com. Thanks.
