  1. The doctor released my to eat whatever I want and pretty much do whatever I want now. He said my biggest challenge in the next two weeks is try not to gain any weight and just keep off what I have lost so far. He said that if I can do that then that would be good, so I'm just praying and hoping my workouts will take care of what my mouth feeds into! I go back to work wednesday so it will be interesting on my new beginnings! We will continue to support each other to try and get thru bandster hell!

  2. Yeah I know what you mean as far as wishing you still had the swollen stomache from surgery so you Never felt hungry. I'm in the same boat. I just try to dish out my serving of what I think I should have which is usually half of normal (accept today for breakfast I had an omlet but it was 42g of protein so I thought what the heck its for a good purpose) and I eat it and I decide I'm done. If I'm still hungry I still wait awhile and then I go for a protein drink because usually I don't have 60gr of protein in anyways. I get my first fill on the 24th too! Yay! We both will have our fill done on the same day! I gained a few pounds from over the weekend, but getting ready to workout so hopefully I will loose those pounds by friday.

    100 pounds-gone forever

    Congratulations! Well said!
  4. So is everything going ok with you? I've lost 22 pounds so far. I went on the treadmill today for 2.5 miles. I'm trying to get back to normal on exercising knowing that is what is going to help me to my goal. Have a Happy Mother's Day if I don't talk to you before then!

  5. I go see the doctor Monday and I do believe then I hope when he schedules me for two more weeks out that is when I will get my first fill! Have you been eating soft foods then? I was suppose to be on full liquids until monday then I would graduate to soft foods, but I was so starving that I couldnt wait any longer I had to eat and so thats what I have been doing, but truely watching my portions. I eat have of what is normal or actually it is probably normal but not to what I use to eat. so far I haven't had problems with anything going down my band yet, but then again I think they try to get you mentally prepared for the band so thats why they have a post opt diet. I just started it a 5 days early from the full liquid to soft foods part.

  6. Hey! I don't blame you for not really doing a pre opt diet before surgery considering you do have like a whole mo after the band to have a "diet" to follow! Plus its amazing that you haven't gained any weight back either....I truely believe that all this pre opt and post opt stuff is to prepare us mentally for the band so when the fill is there we don't have to fight with ourselves as much mentally on portions and everything! You have a happy mothers day as well if I don't talk to you before sunday!

  7. Hey! I know it can be discouraging not to loose a lot of weight after getting the band, but really I think the first mo. its a psychological stuff we learn and we heal. Our true month to loose is after we get our first fill! I walked 2.5 miles today and trying to maintain my portion control with my band and pray that the fill comes in two weeks! I hope that I continue to loose a little bit, but if I don't I will just have to deal with the fact my body is holding on to what it can until the fill! Have a Happy Mothers Day if I don't talk to you again before sunday!

  8. I have a weird feeling with my band too but I usually get it at night time or just when I first get up. I can go all day feeling pretty good but as soon as it gets late I get pains on the left side of my stomache about an inch to the left and up from my belly button. I keep thinking that its the port that is just floating forward or something (lol), but not sure what it is exactly, but I'm sure its normal. I go to the doctor Monday and then will hopefully schedule out in two weeks a fill. Ive been so hungry that I've started to eat some food which I'm ok with, but also don't want to be too tempted on eating bad things. I've lost 22 pounds total so far!

  9. Overall though, Im amazed how quickly overnight I seemed to feel better and then was starving all at once! So far I have tried scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, half of a grilled chicken breast, and toppings off of a pizza. I was worried that I would choke on the toppings of the pizza but I've been ok! The pizza toppings was the worst I ate, its was just hard cuz of the particular situation not to at least try a bit of it and was around the whole family. (Not again hopefully) . I was told that most people cant follow two weeks on full liquids and that your body will tell you what it needs. I go monday to the doctor and will let him know everything that Ive been able to handle. I know he will then schedule my next appointment a fill in. So far I have lost 22 pounds and (ive stopped snoring!)

  10. Ok where do I begin? The allergic reaction is just fine and most of the time I don't hurt during the day although I am still careful to bend over and all. At night time I get discompfort and take a tylenol 500mg and it seems to help me thru to be able to sleep somewhat on my side. The pain I have is like on my left side about an inch above and over from the belly button.

  11. Hey Girl! How ya doing? I've been doing ok. I realized yesterday that I had an allergic reaction to my pain medicine, but tylenol is helping any kind of discompfort I have. Tonight thought I actually feel like I'm starving! Ive done pretty good following a full liquid diet, but tonight makes me want to skip to eating eggs tonight! i tried a protein drink today that you just mix w/ water and I love it. Its the first time where i think I can get my water intake and protein intake each day. Hope to talk to you soon!

  12. Thanks for asking, I'm doing much better today. I had an allergic reaction to the pain medicine they gave me to I'm better now. My stomache I can tell is slowly going down from being blowed up and can't wait for it to be totally back to normal. I have lost weight and as of yesterday when i weighed 15pounds. I'm ready to graduate to soft foods thats for sure! You doing ok?

  13. Before my surgery I had lost 13pounds. Im excited and hoping to loose more considering on a two week liquid diet and all. Tomorrow I will be going to the gym to slowly work my way back to the workout I was doing before the surgery (4 1/2)miles. Glad you took the time to enjoy your family and I'm sure that it was much appreciated you cleaning and cooking while you were off!! Each day I'm feeling better, but can't wait for my stomache to go down from being blown up! Just doesn't seem like its happening as fast as I would like it to because I feel like I'm pregant with it still being kinda of big! Talk to you later! Thanks

  14. How ya doing? Its been a while so I thought since I hadn't seen any new posts from ya or anything that I would just ask you myself! Hope all is well!

    What are you eating???

Absolutely love this new postes! I just got banded on tuesday (27th of April) and find it amazing that I have not been hungry! Its a struggle for me to make sure I get my protein in that it makes me curious when I start adding food how that will work in to it all!. Thank you!
  17. I'm doing much better today! Was able to somewhat sleep in my own bed last night the entire time. I haven't weighed myself yet, but will be doing it soon. before surgery I ended up 13 pounds lost so thats good news finally! Talk to you soon! Thanks

  18. I know right now I feel like my stomache is deformed but its probably because of the surgery and still trying to get rid of the gas that they use to blow up your stomache for the surgery. I have't weighed myself since I got the band tuesday, but I know before I went in I had lost 13 pounds so it finally paid off with my exercising. I'm excited to loose more, but I know I must have patiants. I had a chocolate protein shake this morning, fixed vanlilla pudding and hated it, and just got done eating an orange popsicle. That seems the best right now. The said thing is is that I'm not hungary either even when I fix my kids dinner! Sometimes with all the sounds my belly moving makes me wonder is it the gas or am I hungry! lol

  19. HI! How ya doing? Today is the first day that I feel much better since surgery. anyways wanted to see how you are doing?

  20. Hey thanks for asking! I'm feeling so so much better today. I know originally it was going to be outpatient but I had probelms with cming out of anesthia and then it was 5pm before they had a bed/room for me. I'm glad that they did keep me overnight. So I came home Wednesday at 6pm. Had problems sleeping but last night was better. I can tell my stomache is going down from being blown up for surgery! Thank God! I only have to cuts one in my belly button and one that is two inches from my belly button...hopefuuly that means healing will be faster! Like I said today has ben 100% better.

  21. Hey! How ya doing today? Ok here....just doing my countdown!

  22. Hope you are doing ok.....Just thinking of you!

  23. Hey how ya doing? You and I only have 4days to go! Hope things are still going good for ya!

  24. Hey how are you doing? Just thinking about you!

  25. Oh no! I am so sorry to hear! That has to be so fustrating for you! I know you must have anger feelings at yourself as well as the doctor for scheduling it out to May, but at least you don't have to worry about fighting infection complications that can make the experience even worse! I feel for you so much because I know how I would feel! I hope you can at least eat something you can enjoy for a few days before you must go back on the diet!
