  1. Hello All!!! My name is Renee and I am 35 single, and never married. I guess the best place to start is to just tell you all that I have been battling my weight for a little over 10yrs. I've tried everything, and spent a lot of money with results that last a short time. It was extremely frustrasting. Deciding to have lap band surgery was a hard one for me. For one I felt like a failure in that here I was a healthcare worker who can't seem to loose weight and look healthy. I want to be healthy and I want to have a long life. I don't want to deal with the comorbidities that come with being obese. I have always been a flirty girl. Never had a problem meeting men or dating. But it seems that even though the men found me attractive and fun to be with, the relationships didnt seem to go anywhere. I always managed to be the friend. Which I am not complaining about because I have had made some good friends. But I know that I am worthy of true love and happiness. So, July 13th after saving the money. I had my preop appointment with Dr Bagnato in Albany Ga. And on July 23rd I had surgery and I woke up a new person. Prior to the sugar busters diet I was 298, on the day of surgery 284, and now I week post op I am 278. I am happy, healthy and on my way to a better life. I know with the lap band I will achieve my goal of 145, and eventually find the love of my life and have a family.
  2. Hello, I was banded July 23rd, went in at 0630 and was back home by 130pm. I was up and walking around that evening. I had barely no pain at all!!!
