    Stomach Pains Near Port

Call your doc ASAP! Vomiting can cause your band to slip and with being pregnant thats the LAST thing you want to happen. Its not uncommon to need a slight or even total unfill during pregnancy, but throwing up is never good when you're banded. Keep us posted and good luck!

    Pregnant And Overwhelmed!

Congrats on your pregnancy! I had a band baby back in 2011, and he is now a 30lbs, happy healthy 15 month old boy. I want to be honest with you, because I know that is what you're looking for as well as support, that type of weight gain this early on in your pregnancy is a little much. The time where you should be gaining more weight is at the end of your 2nd trimester beginning your 3rd. I had to have most of my Fluid removed around the same time you did in my pregnancy, because I felt "stuck" every time I ate and I ended up losing 10lbs in my 1st trimester. After my band was loosened I started eating more until I found I had gained back 52lbs. There is nothing wrong with fulfilling your cravings, but do it in the same manner you would with your band. And if you excercsie regularly now, you can keep it up! I do want to say that its great that you did identify that you felt something was wrong with your band and how you felt, I do know a few people who didnt and really ended up making themselves quite sick for half of their pregnancies. Good luck to you and I wish you a happy, healthy pregnancy!!!

    Still Struggling With Body Image

I can totally relate to this. Although I was banded and then 8 months later became pregnant (wanted to!) and after having my son I still struggle with an extra 20lbs (from baby weight AND post gall bladder problems), so I still sit about 40+lbs away from my goal. However, I found a pair of pants the other day I used to wear, and I held them up and my husband took a picture, and I felt like Jared from the subway commericals. I looked at them and thought, "My God I could put myself in ONE leg". I use that photo as a reminder of how far I've come, not by the mirror that shows me how far I still need to go. PS, congrats to you and your loss, feel proud hun! You've done an amazing thing with your life, you've IMPROVED it!

2 Days Post Op.. Shouldwe Stop Ttc?

Thank you lollicat. Unfortunately words can be "heard" in a different tone on the Internet. I do wish you the best with both your lapband and TTC journey but right now you need to focus on YOU and getting yourself healthy so that you can have a happy and healthy pregnancy.
  21. Also OP your symptoms sound like your gall bladder. Do you still have it? I suggest if you do to get it checked. I had similar symptoms and turns out I had a big stone
  22. I'm so sorry for your loss. Your husband should not be blaming the band for the loss. That also makes it sound like he places some blame on you and that's awful :-( I hope you recover quickly and that things work out for you *hugs*

    Band Slippage With Pregnancy?

It can but it's not as common as you think. Make sure if you are having severe MS to get some fluid out and get some zofran to help with the sickness. Good luck!

2 Days Post Op.. Shouldwe Stop Ttc?

Why would you go through getting the surgery then try to get pregnant right away? That defeates the purpose and you could do more harm then good since the first 8 weeks is based on healing and recovery alone...
