I have a Total Gym that I love. If you buy a scratch and dent one from website you get newest version ½ price. It took me 6 months to figure out the small imperfection in mine - a scratch, not rip on padding. Love it. I also have an incline treadmill. I am not always as disiplined on treadmill but love the Total Gym. cheri

I have been banded for 3 years and now need to take Hormone Replacement. I have a prescription for a while but been unsure if I want to fill or not. My husband wants me to lol, I am fixing to be 52. It is for estradiol - norethindrone anyone taking it of something like it? Help me I do not know what to do. Did you take it? Like it, hate it? Gain weight? lose weight? cheri

Get a second opinion. Do you drink carbonation drinks? The can do it too. But go get checked before something little turns into something big. cheri

Depression is a serious thing. You may need some counseling to help you through this. You are changing your body, mind and spirit. Sometimes we all need a little help to accept changes. I did 3 years and it helped me so much. cheri

You close in this area we have a support group meeting the 3rd Saturday of the month at Chili's in Alvin at 1:00 pm for all types of WLS pre-op or post op. Sometimes it changes to a different Saturday if a lot of people can't attend, but you can contact me if you are interested. (About 10 women average). cheri

If you are so happy with the sleeve why are you not on that website sharing your joy with them? Why come here and talk bad about the Band. Many people are happy with their Band. cheri

Love that show! They really work hard! First 3 months they pay them their salary so they can devote time to work outs. Wish they would do a follow up show 6 months later. Cheri

I kept craving hotdogs. I hate hotdogs, but I could smell them everywhere. I did not even know they smelled, but if I walked into a store that solded them like Target's snack bar I could smell them. My husband thought I was crazy. I never did eat one and now 3 years later I couldn't eat one if I wanted to. One thing I did and still do find myself watching the food network where I never did before. Now I watch Cupcake Wars, Cake Boss and the one where the guy goes around eating the biggest burger, pizza, pancake or whatever, so weird cheri

I do not have any but I have read they are very painful? are you dealing with that? cheri

I went to their website and you can register for a card and you do not have to pay more than $50/month for a year. I used mine at Sam's Good with insurance or without. Cheri

Okay about 8 months ago my doctor put me on Crestor to lower my cholesterol level. I did not want to do it as I did not like the reviews on the drug. A lot of bad side effects. I took Zeta for a weekend and thought I might die from it so had my doctor change me and he almost won't take no for an answer for the Crestor. I went to get the prescription and asked for just 3 days worth and thought if I lived through it I would pick up the rest. Well it was a rough couple of days and then really bad joint pain for a couple of months and then all side effects stopped. Today I got my blood results back and my cholesterol levels are perfect. So if you need something that really works I say ask for it. I was on another one for 2 years and it did nothing for me. cheri

I have a friend who thought she was going from Band to Sleeve. The surgeon took out her Band and then she was suppose to wait 5 months. When she went in and he opened her he said her liver had attached itself to her stomach and she was no longer able to have any type of WLS. So I would suggest if you do convert do it in one process. I am not sure how many people this happens to but it is common after any surgery. You can research it. My other friends who converted to Sleeve and one to By-Pass did Band removal and conversion at the same time and they were fine. cheri

Might need a med to take and as you lose weight maybe BP will return to normal and you can stop. cheri

Some bake potatoes are microwaved instead of baked in the oven. Wendy's are mircowaved and most times I can not eat it. baked in the oven really good no problem but slowly eat it. Microwaves make things harder. cheri

Were you having problems already? I am surprised a surgeon didn't make you try it longer. Did the same surgeon do the surgery? I have had a couple of friends move on to the Sleeve, but I have had no problems with the Band. Good luck on your weightloss journey!! cheri

Ok I just came in from the above Support Group Meeting. I walked in and sat down by someone and after a few minutes of talking to some of the others I turned to a woman and said I do not think I have met you have I? Well it was someone banded who has been to the meeting before and who is active on these boards and I have talked to here before and invited to the meeting before. She had not been to a meeting in a couple of months . . . She looked like a totally different person. Her weight loss had really changed her looks. I felt so bad at first that I did not recognize her. But is was due to her hard work at losing weight. I won't embarrass her by saying her name, but she knows who she is. You look great!! So you who think people can't tell the difference when your losing weight, maybe they don't say anything because you are working so hard losng weight that people just don't know it is you! cheri
