Help.

I'm three months post and am still having abdominal pain/discomfort almost constantly. Its a feeling somewhere between "gut rot" and extreme gas. At first I was told it was stomach acid, but I've been on two different meds and I still feel awful. I saw my surgeon who claims it has nothing to do with the surgery. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Get a second opinion. Do you drink carbonation drinks? The can do it too. But go get checked before something little turns into something big.

Where exactly is your pain?

  • Author

The pain is the area around my belly button in general... so mid abdomen. :(

I'm 4 month post op and have no pain at all, just mild discomfort from time to time if I overeat. I think you should see someone else and get a 2nd opinion.

Good Luck

This is not a fun question :), but are you regular? Could it be that kind of problem? Bandsters don't do this as often since we have a hard time getting our veggies, fiber, and eat less food. I know I don't feel good when I'm not, so I keep up on taking a probiotic and this helps a lot. Some on here take regular stool softeners or fiber supplements, but I'm not getting into that setup, never worked too good for me in the past, not doing it now.
