my name is susan. i am the mom of 2 grown children. i havent told people about my band due to the same reasons i am afraid of non support. my husband is wonderful and has been great thru this whole thing.my highest weight was 292 in january. i was banded on 07/29/09 it was the best thing for me to do for myself. i am noe at 232 lbs i gained 3 lbs after i went off the liquid diet. so i need to get to walking a mile a day. i would love to be your friend and chat any time u like.

well i went to the dr. and had the stitch where the port is removed...i am so happy about that..but i had gained 3 lbs that made me depressed. the dr. said he had expected it because i had came off a liquid diet back to solids..i had hoped for a fill today but i must wait 4 more weeks for the 1st fill he wants to wait till i am on a good solid diet..i need to start walking a mile everyday now....

i'm mental@46 i just started on my weight lost journey also. hope your surgery goes well and you are feeling great. i had to do a liquid diet for 2 before and clear liquids for 2 weeks after..now on mushie foods but i go to the dr today and hopefully get a fill because i can eat anything. but keeping it to a little amount. well good luck.

i am mental@46 susan my highest weight was 292. but i know how it feels to be the biggest girl in the room.i have been married to best man in the world for almost 15 years and he has been a jewel to me but his only sister is so cruel she always has something to say about my weight. i was small when i got married. but to spite what others think of me i love myself and i am a wonder and a great person to be around. i did the lapband for me. i wish you all the love and success you are looking for on your new journey. just do what your doctors say and you will be fine. keep me posted on your success and maybe we can share food ideas and stuff. we are about the same age..have fun and good luck..
