i was banded on july 29th and lost from 257 to 227 on pre op diet..4 weks out no fills yet and have gained 3 lbs ...so i need some of them antidepressants and maybe a trip to the er due to the stroke im about to have...lol...cant wait for that fill...susan

HI, MY NAME IS SUSAN I WAS BANDED ON 07/29//09. I HAVE NOT LOST A POUND SINCE BEING BANDED.(I WENT FROM 257 POST OP TO 230 SURGERY DAY) I DONT KNOW WHAT I AM DOING WRONG. I DONT GET MY 1ST FILL TILL 09/17/09.I HAVE NO RESTRICTION AND CAN EAT WHATEVER I WANT TO. BUT I TRY TO STICK TO AT LEAST 80 MG OF PROTINE AND LESS THAN 25G OF CARBS A DAY. i TRY TO STAY UNDER 1000 CAL. OR AS CLOSE TO THAT AS I CAN.I HAVE 2 TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENTS BUT DO WALK IN MY POOL FOR 30 MIN. A DAY. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME ANY ADVISE.:cursing::thumbup:

good luck to you and congrats on your life changing decision. it is a journey i too am looking forward to.i havent been banded that long 7/29/09 i havent had a fill in my band yet. i will be thankful when i get one. i hope all will go well for you ,and you will make a good example for your 2 year old and i am sure she will give you plenty of runing around time.

i had staples and one stitch across where the port is.i think they glued that one shut but still put one stitch in . i was banded on 07/29/09. everyone i have read about has been different. i had 16 staples all together and the did itch and turn red i was worried and glad when they came out but i did not have any infections.call your doctors office and ask the nurse she will know. good luck

hello steve, i am susan i live in nc. i wish you knew how much you have lost. i was banded on 7/29/09 i weighed 257 at that time. i have been on mushies for a week but seem to be able to eat anything i want. i go to the dr today hopefully he will give me a fill. i weighed 229 lat visit 2 weeks ago but i think i have gained 2 lbs.did you ever have any trouble with your band? how long did it take you to loose weight? i have a mini goal of under 200 hopefully by oct. good luck and lots of success to you. susan

hello there welcome. i was banded on 7/29/09 i had pain for a few days. but was normal. i was on a clear liquid diet for 2 weeks. just started mushies yesterday..boy i did not relize how good mushie food would taste..but my weight is coming off..good luck to you...i wish you all the best.. susan

i was banded on the 29th of july. still on clear liquids. hope to be on full liquids soon.go to the dr on the 10th of aug. to get staples out.only lost 4 lbs post op. depressed....

i was banded on july 29th 09.all went well. i am feeling good. need to know if anyone has sugestions for the liquids for 2 wks. i have had v8 jucie and done well with it. :thumbup: do u think i could try some creamy soups.:scared2::thumbdown: thanks for any help.

i also have my surgery on wednesday..getting a bit on the edge but looking forward to new life..i weigh 242 lbs. i live in north carolina. my husband will be ther with me and i am blessed by that.
