  1. This thread might be a bit out of date now? has anyone got more recent recommendations?
  2. Many thanks Hope2bthinner - the regulations in the UK are very strict - you have to have a BMI of 40 and above, but in Europe they will consider you with a BMI of 35 and above. No where in Europe seems to be listening to the new research on lap bands for lower BMIs - so unless I go to Mexico or the USA - I'm stuck.
  3. The two clinics I've contacted so far have turned me down, I know I can get it done in the states or Mexico, but that is a long way to go from the UK. I have a v.high body fat ratio and am borderline for diabetes, but it feels like if my BMI is less than 35 - 40 no clinic will offer me the surgery. Grateful for any suggestions.
