I am still down 26 lbs. I have lost inches though and was able to slide on some jeans.:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin: I am starting to do wieghts now. Each week I feel better and better and now the compliments are pooring in. I can't wait until I reach my goal wieght (long way to go).

I too was self pay. We are also not rich. The surgery was the best thing I could have ever done for a healthier thinner me. I had the surgery in November and I am down 25 pounds and the compliments are pooring in. I had my surgery done in Mexico by Dr. Aceves in Mexicali and payed half the price in a nice hospital. The entire staff was excellent.

I put Miralax daily in my morning liquid. Very helpful.

I know you ache, but get up and walk you will be so happy you did. I am 16 days out and getting up and walking a lot out of surgery helped me . Congratulations on your new band.

:biggrin:I am down 19 pounds and feeling great. Time to start increasing the walking. I started at 268.8 and my goal weight is 160, I am tall so this will be perfect. I am loving this decision and a friend of mine is now considering doing the surgery also. She went to Mexico with me when I got mine done, so she knows everything to expect.:cool2:

Get you some of the Gas X strips that dissolve in your mouth and also walk it off that is what I did it was very helpful.

Congratulations! One suggestion Buy some of the Gas X strips that dissolve in your mouth after for the gas, they are a life saver. Good Luck to you. I was banded 2 weeks ago. Best decision I have ever made.

Congratulations! I just had the surgery on the 10th. I was back to work the following weekend. I was tired and in a little pain but I am a double weekend nurse and I didn't want to miss any hours at work especially since I was self pay and already just dished out $6,500.I thought it would be hard to do the liquid phase of the diet but it was a breeze.From my experience you should get up and start walking as soon as possible after surgery, it helps with the gas.I am very satisfied with the decision I made and would do it all over again.Good Luck to you. I did not get hungry or crave one time. This band is awesome. I was down 16.8lbs as of Tuesday. I will only weigh myself once a week so I will be blogging my weight every Tuesday.
