I have Aetna and located in Missouri. My plan required a 6 mo medically supervised diet without a net gain from start to finish. I had no trouble getting approved. I understand there are different tiers when it comes insurance, so it's possible to have different requirements. I was sleeved on May 9th and had my first follow up today. Surgery set for May 9. I'm definately feeling the nerves! Today was day 8 on the pre-op liquid diet. I ain't gonna lie, it's hard.... doable BUT hard! Having little ones to care after and feed make it that much harder. I don't even want to go into the kitchen, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. 1st week: 2 Protein shakes and 1 small meal 700-800 cal per day. 2nd week: 3 Protein Shakes along with sf Jello, pudding, slim milk, sf popsicles..etc keep under 800 cal.
