  1. Hi, I was wondering if anyone else on here happens to have the Aetna Choice POS II insurance? If so, is there ANY chance that anyone knows if there is a way to waive the 4 month waiting period?? I'm pretty sure my Urologist will submit a letter stating the medical necessity, but, I didn't know if it was something that was worth the effort or not. Anyone have any thoughts??
  2. Thanks for the welcome! I really wish that I could do it sooner, but, I have to wait for the required 4 months in order to fulfill the insurance requirement! I wish I could afford to go self pay! Then I could do it and be done with it! I'm excited about this journey though!
  3. Hi, my name is Kate and I'm JUST new to this ENTIRE lap-band process. It's something that I've been thinking about for a long time and today I finally took the steps towards getting the ball rolling. I had done a few things already, but, today I called the office and got things moving towards getting my first appointments made. I should start in August sometime, waiting to hear when. They said that in order to fulfill my insurance requirements, I need to do a 4 month program and then they'd submit the paperwork for surgery. If all goes well, I'll be looking at surgery in December! I can't wait! Wish me luck! I'm curious to see what people that have had this done have to say about it. This is the forum I need to keep me going!
