  1. Are you just steaming it? Any healthy ways to spice it up? I am getting way ahead of myself and don't actually plan to up my carbs or my Protein until I am close to goal. Right now my main concern is maintaining what muscle I have left and eating right. I did recently up my carbs to 50gs daily, but the increase was in my post workout meal. I am getting 80-100g of protein, sometimes more, daily but its hard to increase it while trying to keep my calories below 850. I am happy where my macros are right now but like I said above... can't wait to get to goal so I can start playing with my diet and increase my carbs a little. Kinda miss eating brown rice and certain fruits.
  2. Bad advise is found of every single forum on the internet... even this one. The knowledge is there... just have to weed through the BS.
  3. great job bud... can you tell me how much weight you lost at 2 months since surgery, not including any pre op weight loss. thanks
  4. bodybuilding.com tons of info... learn to use their search feature.
  5. Who told you you need to be taking a special bariatric Vitamin. I can understand if your a DS or bypass patient but us VSGers dont have malobsorption issues. I would just go with a vitamin that taste decent and you can stomach. I suggest the flintstone chewables. I was taking Celebrate bariatric Vitamins and they made me puke. Since switching to Flinstones I have no issues, they go down good and taste decent. I only have to take 2 a day as well. Once I am 6 months out i am going to switch to a 1 a day Multivitamin. good luck.
  6. wow thats a lot... are you lifting weights? How much Protein can you get in with that much calories?
  7. It was actually just a few moments ago. I was stuck in the high 260's for about a week, fluctuating from 266-70... its my second stall and I am only 7 weeks out. I just woke up now and getting ready for the gym. hopped on the scale and down to 264. This is exactly what happen on my last stall. Tomorrow I will be 265 and this will be my new high... will fluctuate all week from low to mid 260`s and will probably set my new all time low next week.
  8. I actually did not go through this because I knew what I was in for. With that said. what you are going through is pretty normal actually and will pass in time. I am 6 weeks out and very satisfied with my meal amounts. I actually eat a decent amount of food daily... just have to space it out over 5-6 meals.
  9. Awesome thread... your stomach was pretty small to begin with.
  10. Yeah great thread... it would be good if you post your stalls as well. I was stalled for almost a week in the low 280s... When the stall finally broke I got into the mid 270's pretty quickly. 2 weeks later I am at another stall in the mid to high 260's... been there about a week and feeling it break soon.
  11. Wow, Im in the middle of my 7th week and would love something like this to happen... crazy.
  12. I dont understand why you are exercising twice per day... If your personal trainer told you to do that you need to get a new one ASAP. From some other post you have made I can tell you are not giving it 100%... dont think anyone on this site does, were only human. Eating a piece of salmon can not "literally" cause you to gain a pound unless you are eating 16oz at a time which is impossible with the sleeve. Who is advising you to take diet pills? They are garbage and mostly caffine. Veggies are great is you are eating the right kinds at the right times. If you eating a lot of things like carrots or cron those are not good veggies to be eating while trying to lose weight. Also with juiceing you are going to be consuming a ton of carbs and sugars which will likey not be burned off throughout the day. It takes about 6 oranges to make a glass of fresh orange juice... how many times would you eat 6 oranges in 1 sitting? Juicing is great once you are at goal and maintaining... very limited on what you can juice when trying to lose weight. You seem to be spending money on things you dont need. You should use those finds for a good nutritionist. If you have a good one you dont have to see them every week... maybe monthly. If they want to see you every week they are ripping you off. Your carlorie intake is double than what your average sleever trying to lose is consuming Thats a big one actually. Getting your water in isn`t just for hydration purposes. Up your water intake to more than the minimum required. 64oz of water really isnt a lot especially if your exercising. You are no were close to goal and you have plastics scheduled already? You dont want to ``waste money`` on a doctor or nutritionist because ``that money could go towards something else medically in case of emergency``. Is lipo and abdominoplaty considered an emergency especially when its not the right time to do it. I would seriously consider your Dr is he is advising you to do these procedures with no much still to lose. ``No, I don't have a lot of weight to lose`` You have a BMI of over 41+ and need to lose another 85lbs to be on the heavy side of a normal BMI.
  13. sorry didnt know that. Anyways, I was sleeved jan 22nd and have lost 44lbs since surgery day. I did not really follow my preop diet so I didnt lose anything preop.
  14. "I lost 130 lbs but my chest has gotten larger?" I hope next year I can say the same thing... but I'm a guy lifting weights lol.
  15. I am 7 weeks out and last week ate at taco bell... wife was craving it and we were in a time crunch. Anyways, I was able to eat the entire insides of a hard taco supreme and 3-4 bites of the shell. I think by 3-4 months out I will have no issues eating 1 entirely... maybe even closer to 2 tacos a year out.
  16. I did not hear from him until I landed in San Diego and called him to tell him I had arrived. He was circling the airport when I called. I did confirm though with his sister and Alma my date and arrival time. They know when you are going to be there and I am positive they relay the message to Samuel. If you feel worried you can always call him to confirm.
  17. I can't wait to get to goal so I can switch up my diet and start bulking up. I have been frequenting bodybuilding.com and some of those guys are eating huge amounts of carbs/protein to gain muscle mass. Are these amounts possible with the sleeve. At a minimum most of those guys are consuming 1-1.5g Protein per pound of body weight and well over 200g of carbs daily. Are any of you guys consuming this much to maintain or increase your gains? I know a lot of runners on this forum are consuming a ton of carbs but are you able to eat tons of protein too? thanks
  18. I personally would do your cardio after you lift weights. My current routine ... Day 1- Back, biceps, traps, 45min Cardio Day 2- Chest, shoulders, triceps 30min HIIT Day 3- rest day, 45min cardio Day 4- Legs, abs 30min HIIT After day 4 I start all over again. I do cardio on my rest days but every 10 days or so I do a rest day that involves no working out or cardio.
  19. I am actually surprised your not losing... could it be your body is stalling because your eating so little calories.
  20. wow looks great. Do you mind pm-ing me the cost of the tummy tuck alone. Your surgeon is about 2 hours from me and a TT is something I am looking into for next year.
  21. there is a lot of extra calories and carbs in fruit... I would wait till your closer to goal to start adding these things to your drinks.
  22. Looks like your doing everything your suppose to be doing. Are you getting plenty of Water everyday? How often are you working out. What are you diet stat... ca/pro/carbs? You were a light weight going into this and most are slow losers. You have what about 30-35lbs to goal? You slow down a lot the closer to goal you get.
  23. Great job everyone. I weight in today and lost 2 pounds since my last weight in on saturday... so happy. Current states in my sig....
