I struggled with my weight most of my adult life. After a long process, I had lap band surgery on July 29, 2009. Three months later, on October 26th, 2009, I had emergency surgery to have the band removed due to a full slip. I was in the hospital for 3 days in screaming pain before they realized I had a slip. Apparently the tech was not versed in reading images fom a lap band patient. I tried very hard to keep the 50 lbs off but have gained 34 lbs back. I finally made the decision to go for the VS. I am scared but I am more scared of my weight continuing to creep up and the other health issues that come with it.
