  1. There are two types of gas pain you may experience. In the operating room, we use CO2 to blow up the stomach to visulize the internal organs. The other gas is bowel gas. The shoulder pain is CO2 gas that gets traps after they remove that they can. Gas X wont help that. Warm heating pads and movement will help that. Soon it will reabsorb itself and disapate....The bowel gas can be relieved with walking and gas x.....Hope this helps.....
  2. Its perfectly normal....I had the same thing...but now am feeling pretty darn good, back in the gym finally...Hang in there..start slow and work your way up again..dont forget liquids and protein...

  4. This morning I had my first "food stuck" episode. I felt instant very impressive :tt1: chest/back pain and I was at the point of throwing up when it suddenly passed. My own fault for not chewing good enough. WELL, we wont be doing that again anytime soon....Ouch...........ps...The wierd thing is, I could feel it as soon as it passed, so at least I know what to expect now.....
  5. I had my surgery on dec 28th, and was shopping the next morning...so I think everyone is different. I have not taken anything for pain since my surgery. Everyone is different...I am not saying you will feel like a million bucks, but you can certainly go to the concert feeling like $450,000.............onenuttynurse

  9. Hi Girls, I was banded on December 28th at 0730 in the morning, and gone by noon. I am so excited for this to be done. This is my second day and feeling super. NO pain pills. Little gas in shoulders, but other than that I am up moving around and feeling fine. I am enjoying my strained mushroom soup, protein shakes, and water. Tommorow is jello, soup and water. I was able to walk right past cheeseburgers and fries tonight. Thank goodness. My husband and boys(17 and 18 are great inspirations)...take care and keep up the great works. I look forward to meeting new people on this site... Crista in Wasington...Onenuttynurse:biggrin:
  10. Keep your chin up. People just want something to talk about. Most of them have nothing better to do than to critique others. Regarding people commenting on what you are eating. They are just miserable in their own skin, so they make themselves feel better by degrading other. I am going through all the labs and etc right now, but wont be banded until late october due to my insurance. My co workers(nurses) know I am having this done and they are very supportive to my face anyway. However, its just really none of their business and I am having it done while on a vacation. They don't know when the true date is....have a great day and remember "you are only as inferior as you allow people to make you feel"....
