  1. Has anyone had their first fill done at the hospital or with fluoroscopy? I'm having my first done on Wednesday and wondered if they make you drink nasty Barium instead of water when they do this. Thanks!
  2. Hi, I had my surgery July 15 and had my period at the time. 11 days ago I started again and have had the heaviest period I've had since having my Mirena put in. Still going on today:mad: The good news is my GYN told me that once I lose weight my periods should get lighter and lighter:biggrin:
  3. Thanks, I have some here and will try it (once I ok it with Dr. V)!!
  4. Okay, I was banded on 7-15-09 and I already suffer from chronic constipation. I know that this surgery can cause constipation and my surgeons advice is MOM. Well, I tried this and it made me vomit. Not going there again. I've seen some people say that they use benefiber and it helps. Did any of you suffer prior to surgery with this condition? Just wondering, today is the first day I've been able to "go" since the Saturday before surgery and even that was laxative induced. Thanks for the help. Sorry for the gross specifics:eek:
  5. Oh, that is truly pleasant:>) I'll have to work hard to avoid that one!
  6. I keep seeing this posted on the post-op forums but I'm having trouble figuring out what it means. Thanks!
  7. This is just the question I wanted to ask! I was banded on 07/15/09 and for the first three days I could barely eat. Now, less than a week later I'm wondering why I can't stay full. I'm hoping once I'm on pureed foods maybe I'll stay a little fuller. Come on first fill!!
  8. Yay July! July 15th will be my lap band birthday. I have done everything except my final pre-op appt and I start my yummy liquid diet next Tuesday. Good luck to everyone!!!
  9. Thanks a lot Plain! Everyone I talk to that's lived thru the h**l of it makes me feel a little less anxious.
  10. My name is Allison and I am a pediatric nurse, wife and mother of one daughter. I began the lab-band journey about a year ago and Just now have my surgery date set for July 15. I am soooo excited. I am also very scared. I start my liquid pre-diet next week and I know it's important but just the thought of it nausseates me and makes my head hurt. I know I will get used to it, it's just the idea of it right now makes my stomach do flipflops. My surgeon is Dr. David Voellinger in Charlote, NC. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about him and I am superexcited to get this part over with. Yay!:blushing:
