  1. Hi all, I'm new to this blog but not to lap-banding. I was banded in 2003 along with 4 of my sisters in Mexico - great surgeon, before they were doing them in the states. Two of the five of us have done great, lost 75 lbs and holding. But the other 3 are struggling, gaining weight incrementally, and i am the last of the 3 that have not regained all of my lost weight. Currently I am 15 (was 232 at banding) got down to 189 and now have trouble swallowing proteins, my band is loose but still have trouble with most foods. Wondering if it's slipped or some other issue?/ I've also developed an ulcer since the band. anyone else with similar issues and solutions???
