  1. Have faith in your husband coming around and it will happen. The first thing that happened when I went to the bariatric office for my consult was that the bariatric nurse explained how men in our lives will feel insecure for a number of reasons. #1 worry kicks in and many other things. I am not married yet but my ex boyfriend expressed anger about the surgery. I tried my best to keep him in the loop because the nurse said he would come around. And that he has. I am just taking time off now to do me. I have to make sure that this surgery is for me but I believe it will work out in the end. Once you start attending the meetings, consults, etc. your esteem will be greater and your husband who loves you will feel more confident. Just include him in the process and let him know "sweetie, I want you to know xyz and I know you are worried about me but your support is what I need most." :blushing: (get in his game room, you know what to tell him!) lol
  2. :blushing: I am sooooo happy for you now you can exhale. you are on your way. My day is 7/2 I am sooo happy to do something for me and you should be elated to do something for you. All the best
  3. God is real, I am not one to push my beliefs on anyone but through my life I have realized he is my rock and he has pulled me through many great obstacles...glory!:blushing:
  4. Leg weights...that is a cool idea, lol. I think you will make the requirements, just hang in there.
  5. I'm no expert but it sounds as if they are going to approve your surgery. Enjoy your vacation and do not stress. :blushing:

  8. Interesting. I see most surgeons have different ways of preparing us for surgery. I read in one forum how a patient received a fill during the surgery...all of this insight is so interesting and enlightening...
  9. Thank you this info is so helpful because I have limited support but I have prayed and I believe it is time to do me...and continue being the very best that I can!
  10. I would definitely speak with him and remind him how your insurance (or are you self pay...anyway) put more money in his pocket. Review your contract of services and remind him of his committment of surgeon as well... You are doing fine and are well on your way!
  11. Thank You. Any advice you have will be helpful :bored:
  12. July 2nd and I am excited. I cant even think fear! When it tries to get me, I think of the new journey in just a few weeks. I just hope the hospital stay isn't long. I have teenagers...
  13. Hi Iris here from south florida and I am excited...on 7/2 I will be banded. The process was lovely for me, in spite of what some said I was approved by my insurance provider and received my date three days later. Any information that you provide will be helpful. I think the most difficult thing for me is losing the weight pre op. For some reason, in the last year I gain without really over eating so I am grateful and determined to follow through with the wls. Thanks in advance for your support and advice Iris
