July Bios?
Hi everybody, I am 38, single and have no children. I will be banded on 7/8. I currently weigh 201, 5'3, I have always struggled with my weight. My highest weight being 208, for some people that's ideal, for me it's NOT. Four years ago I was diagnosed with PCOS and now with diabetes. I am sooooo glad that I am going to get this new TOOL. I thank God for helping me fight the bulge. I am excited and nervous I know everything is going to work for my good.

One week to go...
I have approx 5 days to go. I am scheduled for pre-ops on 7/6,& 7/7dietician and surgery on 7/8. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I've washed all my clothes and vacuum and cleaned the house and put fresh linen on all the beds. I suddenly have this burst of energy. I am trying to stop eating so much "Last Supper Sydrome", I eat whatever I feel like eating. I have gained 10lbs since my last Doctor's visit. I weigh 200lbs and looking forward to the big drop.

Any July Bandsters out there?
I totally understand you. I am scheduled for the same day 7/8 and I am very excited, anxious and nervous. I weighed 196 and gained four pounds to be approved for surgery and was denied.. After a long hard battle, I was approved and now I am on my way..... We are surgery twins so we have to keep intouch with our progress...:blushing:

Any July Bandsters out there?
I am scheduled for Pre-Ops on July6 &7, banding scheduled for July 8. The number 8 represents "New Beginining" and that's what I am looking forward too. I'm excited, anxious and a little fearful as well. I have mixed emotions and according to the threads that I've read that's a common feeling. I have never had a surgery of any kind. I am 38 single and no children, I'm just a little concerned but EXCITED!!!!!!!!

Was anyone banded at a weight of 200lbs or less?
Hi, I've also received those stares....I'm 201 and 5'3 with PCOS and newly diagnosed diabetic. I had to file an appeal because my diabeties was not in my chart. I had to go and see my endo and take a glucose test and she release a letter to the insurance company stating my new diabetic diagnosis. I hate that I was diagnosed but I am overjoyed that I was approved because of it. I am scheduled for pre-ops July 6/7 and I will be banded on July 8th.. 8 represents the number of "New Beginining" and that's what I am expecting.

July 2009 Dates
Hi I'm a newbie. I am scheduled to be banded on July 8th. I am excited, anxious and a little nervous. I guess that's to be expected. I am not scheduled to go on a liquid diet, when I inquire my Dr's Coordinator said that it was not necessary for me. My pre-ops are scheduled for July 6 & 7. I didn't know this at the time but July 8th is very significiant. July the 7th month represents--- the End of a thing (Perfection etc) 8 represents a "New Beginning". To all you July Bandsters 7 represents the old way of living. Now bring on the NEW!!!!
