    worried

I totally know what you're going through. I was banded last monday (8/17), and experienced a lot of discomfort around the port site. If it's too much pain for you to bear, call your surgeon, or you may be over doing it, or not doing enough. By my second day after surgery- i walked over an hr with my mom and son. The quicker you get moving around, it should ease some. If not, like I said contact your surgeon, and express your concerns. Hopefully that was able to help some. Good luck!
  8. Hi!! How excited for Monday you must be! Lap-band has been the most amazing thing ever for me! I was soooo nervous the day of surgery, seriously contemplating if it was the right option. Now 5 months out... I am so thankful I went through with it. I weighed 264 before surgery and was juts getting heavier and heavier every year. It is so nice now that every time I step on the scale the number goes down. The hardest thing for me was the first month... liquids and mushy foods... it was awful. Just keep your eye and the prize and stick to it tho... it the long run it really helps you. Also I had to learn how to eat all over again. I feed myself like I would a two-year old. Cut every thing in little bites and take my time chewing, I eat soooo slow! If you have any questions at all let me know! Best of luck to you! It is such an exciting journey!

  9. Hi, I just saw your pics, and you should be so proud! You look awesome! I'm getting banded on Monday (yay!), and have been trying to find someone on this site around my age (24)- any tips would be appreciated...thanks and good luck with the weight loss!
