A tornado blew right alongside my house here in NJ. Houses were fine...but it took my tree, uprooted it, and slammed it down on my neighbors house! Scary stuff. Sounded like a train.

You don't say why it slipped and why they didn't reband you. Are you sure you want to get rebanded out of the country?? What if you have problems again? You might want to call your insurance to find out about fills and to ask what happens if it doesn't work out again.

I didn't sleep through civics!! And while these offenders (mentioned above) can move to another state......it doesn't mean that they can hold the same professional position they held in the state they came from. Teachers for example...get finger printed and checked by the FBI, so its not as easy as you think to commit a crime and then just set up shop in another state.

But I don't buy that this guy did it, I think he is looking for fame (or to be infamous) The story doesn't pan out....and he was obsessed with media that reported child aobduction and murder...he was a loner...I think its just a ploy to get attention.

That is exactly who they wouldn't give the water to!!!!! And charged them $20 to boot....bastards. (sorry for the obscenities---but it makes my blood boil just thinking about it!!!) Wawa has some butt kicking choco mint iced coffee...and Dunkin Donuts...has smoother coffee than Starbucks anyway (just my personal preference..lol)

Yeah the rescue workers were going into Starbucks and getting Water for the firemen and other rescue people when the twin towers had just fallen--there was dust everywhere....AND STARBUCKS WAS CHARGING $20 per case...first of all that is wrong on so many levels....and $20 for a case of water...please! I hate Starbucks....I have boycotted them ever since.

I try so hard to like Starbucks...just can't do it. (and I am still mad at them for not giving free water on 9/11)..I'll get over that someday!

Okay so things have gotten better..way better. I'll do this in chronological order: 1. I call the doc's office they are closed...can't reschedule..ugh bummed. 2. Talk to a former co-worker, same surgeon did her banding 2 weeks ago....no pain at all.....everything great with her!!!! Yay. (still freaking thinking the doc won't bend for me) 3. Another pre-bander emails me to tell me about her doc. I look up the hosp in my insurance...covered ...yay!!! The doc I want is not covered...boo-hoo. 4. My sis calls to finally give me the emotional support I need...I called her at 10am and she was still out cold. Anyway she tells me take the time off from school-I am smart and get good grades, she reminds me -its no worse than being out sick for the day...duh I forgot that...see why I needed her support?--she knows just the right words to use...lol. 5. I forgot to mention--I got my sleep machine...OMG the guy was on his way to my house and THE POWER GOES OUT...omg someone somewhere doesn't want this to happen for me...he calls to say he is on his way..i do not tell him about the power...good thing...right as I hang up the power goes back on---yeah--someone IS looking out for me!!!:mad: 6. I call the doc's office today-returning a call i didn't know i had because it was on my cell which was out in the car. They change my date to the 27th...totally do-able...and...guess what I was wrong about my schedule...I only have two classes on Wednesday's not 4...whoo hoo! So I will have surgery on Sept 27th....and only miss 3 classes....omg this is awsome! (I will not have to drive into a tree after all-see prev journal entry...lol) I am so excited I think I will go clean the kitchen!!!!! Ha ha ha...odd thing to say I know, was too upset to do anything...feel like a great weight (ha ha) has been lifted...now feel normal. TTFN!!!!

Hi, try not to fret too much about this, just be careful in the future. I went back to read your other journal entries (and your profile). My degree is in Psychology (not a doc-just interested though) ...it seems that you are having outside issues that are swinging your moods. I think talking to someone might help. (once these moods take hold they are hard to shake..and then they make us do things we don't have control of). You live in Greece? How cool is that!!! I was gonna suggest walking but i read your knees are bugging you. Do you have hobbies? Lately when i feel tired, i force myself to go outside and do something productive...weeding, mowing the lawn..stuff like that, because i know otherwise I'd nap and I can't lose weight if I am laying on the couch! Don't be too hard on yourself, we are all only human. Take care!

I am a full-time college student (psych and elementary/special ed and History)(I sub in the local school when I can), mom of 3, wife for 21 yrs (i was 21 when I got married). I am also an education junkie...I have my real estate license...okay now the funny stuff: I am certified as a personal trainer, certified in Holistic Health, and certified in Sports Nutrition..I did this to prove to my older daugher that eating a half an orange is not healthy. (I am now motivated so I think I will used these certificates when the weight comes off)

She has to want to lose it not you. 22 lbs lost is better than 22 lbs found. Maybe she isn't feeling normal yet....her surgery was only 5 months ago...she may be phyically healed but not mentally. Banding is not a quick fix for weightloss...it could be that there are mental issues relating to food. Give her time. Best Wishes!

Hi I live in SJ too... Dr Onopnchenko is operating out of Atlantic Ciy....extremely popular. He did my sis' GB.

Well I am scheduled for surgery 9/25....but I can't do it. I have 4 classes on Mondays and Wednesdays...one night class on Tuesday....and a night on Thursday... at best I can only have surgery on a Thursday so I can be back to class on Monday.....only missing one class. Even hubby said no way to a Monday. Tutition is $10,000 a semester....i get too far behind, I am blowing it!!! Ugh I am so sad I feel like driving my car into a tree. Ugh, this was not supposed to be how it goes. I need help now, another semester, and I'll be another 100 lbs heavier...ugh i am gonna puke......why is this happening to me...I really am a nice person. :think

Thanks for the suggestion, it would not work though, its 3 psych classes and 3 education classes....Way too much to make up. And I will need to be there to take the notes because each class is (ugh) really involved. I am in the home stretch ...so these classes are critical.

:think Do I cry now or later....my worst nightmare has come true. My banding is scheduled for 9/25...I can't do it, I am in school all day and all night.....Ugh. This surgery was supposed to happen in the summer because of my school schedule. The doc said it was no problem, the pulm doc said no problem...yeah when did they change their mind. Its all VI's fault for saying "getting your sleep apnea testing sooner won't get your surgery sooner". wtf....pardon my language! I think the doc only does mondays and tuesday surgerys....per OH.com...omg he never told me that!!! I am finding there are a lot of things the surgeon didn't tell me. School is too expensive for me to miss school. Of course hubby didn't help he said i have a low tolerance to pain and that I'd miss a whole month of school....of course he was talking out his butt....he is testy lately because he is getting laid off from work tomorrow..I am mad at him now, I will forgive him later....i just want to stay mad at him for now. okay back to topic.....sadnesss......it just figures this would happen to me. I could do a thursday surgery then I'd only miss one class and could be back to class on monday. Ugh if I have to wait till Christmas break I am gonna scream!! I dont' fit in my clothes I can't afford to buy new ones (remember ..hubby getting laid off ) my kids need school clothes....Okay I need to stop whinning now!! Thanks for letting me vent!!! Thank you for listening to my ramblings. I have had 3 c-sections...so this surgery should be a breeze. The problem is that I just can't miss school. missing one day is like missing a week of class -college is so much harder than high school. I have 3 psych classes and 3 education classes...way way too much reading and researching. Someone to help with the books, classes are spaced thru the day so that isn't possible...but the good thing is because they are spaced i can go to my car between classes to get my book so I won't be carrying them all at once. (yay)
