  1. I am totally new to this. This week one of my clients (I am a hairdresser) told me about her sister who has had lap band surgery. It got me thinking again about this surgery when she said that her sister's insurance paid for the lap band. Now it is all I can think about. So far all I have done is call my insurance company (UHC) and am expecting a call back about my benefits. I have also been researching surgeons in the Nashville, Tn area. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I go from here? I have read posts about a pre-surgery diet, what is that? Anyone know anything about Nashville surgeons? I am so excited about this process and am ready to start the journey.:blushing:
