  1. Hi All. My name is Lisa. I just turned 37, and have been struggling with weight since adolescence. I have 2 preschool children and realize that they're not getting the best of me, because of my weight, and that's got to change. My consult is June 3, and I'm hurrying to get all my paperwork/testing in order, and to hopefully have surgery the last Thur/Fri in June (my DH has mandatory time off that following week). I've researched the surgery on and off for YEARS and always decided that it wasn't for me...until about 8 weeks ago, when I had an unexpected/unexplained moment of clarity, as if it was already happening. About a week later I decided to have the surgery. I don't have any particular questions at this time. Just wanted to say hello and then browse around the forums.
