in times like this i always try to remember "don's sweat the petty stuff just pet the sweaty stuff." if she is really your friend she will come around regardless of the situation if not than you know you have tons of support here. I joined a couple of weeks ago and I talk more here then with my "friends" we all understand one another, i'm sure once I get the approval i'll be just as nervous as you. remember why you have chosen to do this and pray for all good things:)

i have uhc too and i'm so concerned I don't have enough history so i called the care cordinator and explained that I saw a Dr. in mexico previous to having my PCP here in the U.S. for the past 2 years she said they would take any Dr. notes even if it was from Mexico, I sure hope so. I go for my phsyc eal tomorrow and then i mail off my eval to the clinic. so we will see

Well i hope it all works out for you soon. I have not met him yet or even been to the clinic. My phsyc eval is tomorrow my only thing that is stressing me is that I don't have 5 years medical history of weightloss here in the U.S.for my insurance but when I called the nurse that overlooks everything said they would take Dr. notes from Mexico so i hope they will be ok, i treated my self down there for many years befor going to a doc here. We'll see, glad to hear good news about the doc and his staff let me know how it goes for you:) best wishes

what Dr. will be preforming the surgery for you? What type of pre op diet do they have you following? Sorry for all the questions I'm just so excited about the possibilities this will lend me and the new leash on life i'll be gaining

Wow is this for real... I sent of my packet to the Alvarado Clinic in California and got my call back today. The receptionist stated all I would need is my phsyc eval and my doc note of 5 years over weight history. SHe also stated that my insurance is the fastest one to approve this surgery. My question is and i don't think i want to know the real answer can this really happen this quick???? She said it's all upto how quick I make my appt's, so of course i have my pcp note on thurs and my physc eval on the June 4th. I'm so ready for this new life, I just want to be active again riding my bike hiking all the stuff i haven't been able to do. Has anyone had surgery at this clinic or with Dr. Sunil Bhoyrul. any info greatly appreciated. TIA

Thats great to hear. Did you have to do sleep test and all that, they didn't tell me i needed one but i thought maybe i just haven't made it that far?
