  1. Hey, congrats on the surgery date!!! I am new to this site, and a new bandster, I was banded on 5/15/09. I was extremely nervous b/f surgery, but all went well. The first 3 days were really rough, just try and walk a little every 30 min. and buy some gas -x thin strips (work wonders for all the gas pains!) Dont over do it, but dont be a slug either. It took me a full 7 days b/f I felt like myself again, some say it only took them a few days! The post op diet is not as bad as it sounds. You will want to get a pill crusher from any pharmacy if you take any medications, and the pharmacist can tell you what is ok to crush. Good luck with everything and keep me posted how everything goes!
