  1. hi everyone - was wondering if someone could define BPing. I'm seriously considering the surgery but keep hearing people refer to this 'bping' as embarrassing etc... it's really worrying me!
  2. i'm curious about low bmi bandsters and loose skin...has anyone had trouble? I am on the 'smaller side' but in the end i will be losing around 60 pounds and wondered if it was a problem for anyone.
  3. so you haven't had any problems that i hear on the site about never eating bread again etc....is there anything you find your stomach can not take? I've noticed I'm becoming scared that this might actually work! Which creates a whole new set of anxieties but I've been getting worried about people who say they can never drink soda again or alcohol or bread. I thought it just shrunk your stomach so you couldn't eat as much of things
  4. thanks to both of you! Monica - was your recovery quick? are you having any complications? I'm more worried about the caliber of the doctor than where he is located...What do you think of your doctor?
  5. I totally understand, and the prices are VERY attractive. I didn't mean it to sound at all condescending. I'm just battling with the fear of surgery, compounding it with having surgery in a foreign country and it may be more than i can handle!
  6. thanks! i'll do the same.
  7. who do you have in cali?
  8. Beth - I have to lose about the same amount and live in socal, where were you banded?
  9. Hi Everyone - I'm glad to have found this thread. I am teetering on this surgery for all the reasons i've read so far. I am also human and thus a little vain and am interested in this single incision procedure, you know so there's no scars when i wear my first bikini ever! anyone been through the SILS procedure? Also, does anyone know who the best surgeon in los angeles is? I can't believe how many people are going to mexico...I'm too scardy cat for that! last thing..what does PB stand for?
  10. Hi Everyone - I'm seriously considering getting banded and am doing my research on the subject. I'm curious if anyone has had the single incision procedure (through the belly button) and if so, what is your experience? Also, if anyone knows los Angeles doctors that do the single incision, or anywhere that does it that you loved your doctor. I would love some recommendations Thanks
