Congrats on the loss of 102#!!!!!! that is awesome. As far as I know, I will not have to stay the night. I am looking forward to it, but kind of nervous as well. I will keep you posted on the progress. You keep up the good work!!!!

Congrats!!!!! I am so happy for you all. My surgery is coming up on October 14th. I am scared, nervous, anxious, excited....etc.etc. I fell off the liquid pre-op diet thing today.......feel guilty, but i must move forward. Wednesday, my life will change for the better. Today, espcially this evening is really hard emotionally- but again, i must move forward. Lets all keep in touch and cheer one another on through this wonderful journey!!!! One week from today I will be having my lap-band surgery!!! I am so excited. I had my upper GI study done yesterday, and did all my pre-admission stuff at the hospital today. They did an EKG, blood work, and a chest x-ray! So, now just 6 more days of my pre-op liquid diet......I've lost 5 pounds (cause I cheated one day)......more to come. This is quite a journey and I am ready to move foward with!!!! I know there are several folks I have talked to recently that are having surgery this week and next....good luck to you all. talk to you soon!!!!:biggrin:

Well, I am definitely having surgery on Oct. 14th!!!! I started my pre-op diet on Thursday and thought I would eat my shoes, but today it is much better and I have lost 2.6 pounds. I am so excited to be on this journey-I know it will change my life for the better. Let me know how you are all doing....and if anyone is going to have surgery soon- message me!!! talk again soon

Only 800 calories a day? I get to have 1200 on the pre-op. I really messed up today though and ate "food". ugh....oh well tomorrow is a new day!!! Keep me posted on your journey!!!!

Hey there- I got your post on my blog.... I am actually using high protein slim fast right now for my shakes. I also found an Odwalla super protein drink today that is good as well. I think if i were mixing my own i would want to use milk (skim) as it would add even more protein to the mix. I am excited for you that your sugery is soon as well!!!! We are the same age....where do you live? talk to you again soon.

hey there- the pre-op diet is going well.....i have lost 2.6 pounds since thursday (and it's only saturday). I will have my nutrition class and upper GI on Tuesday the 6th and pre-admission appt. at the hospital on the 7th. I live in Dallas. Where do you live? Im glad to hear that you have been doing so well since surgery and that you lost 42 pounds prior!!! that is wonderful. I've lost 18 total up to this point and I too want to stick to the letter of the program....you are right that we have come too far to not make the most of this new opportunity.

I found out today that I am approved for lap-band surgery. I will probably have it on October 14th!!!!! I am so excited to move forward with this journey. What an absolute blessing. I look forward to sharing this journey with you all. Thanks for the kind words given up to this point!!! Take care everyone!! Message me. YIPPEE!!!!!!!

Laura- I haven't been on here in a while and i am so sorry to hear about your mom and her decline. I will pray for you and your family daily. I am so proud of you and your weight loss - you are doing a great job!!!! I got approved today- surgery should be on Oct. 14th- so I am very excited. may God bless you- keep me posted on all things. I have completed my insurance guidelines which were a 3 month Dr. supervised program. I just got approval today, and now just have to do the two week pre-op diet, nutrition class and then surgery- should be on October 14th. : )
