  1. I'm sorry. I haven't been here in a while. I'm not happy I was right. I just wish the word would get out before more people go to them. I'm disappointed these weight loss sites do no drop his ads. You are doing great. If you are feeling well, that was the true goal.

  2. I haven't taken pictures in my tiny jeans yet, but will soon. Hard to see much change in Sis yet except her face is getting thinner. How about you? Pics?

  3. I am out of town and have no photos on this computer. I will send photos when I get home. I just bought size 4 pants and am in shock.

  4. I'm planning to make it and so is my Sis. Denise wants to come but does not know how she will be feeling due to chemo but is going to try. Barbara is planning to make it and I have a couple of gals 2 - 3 of them from OH who are interested.

  5. Hey,

Good to hear from you. How are you feeling? Sis is having a bit of a struggle. I think she is being too impatient with her recovery. A lot of it is in her head. She feels as though she is starving herself because she eats so little. Oh well it is a learning process.

I'm not at goal. I have lost a bit more since Mexico but still have 20 - 25 pounds I want to lose. If I don't lose it, it will not kill me. I've done well. I don't post photos here so if you send me an email, I'll send you a new photo. travllady@hotmail.com.

  6. Sending the photo. It will be from travllady@hotmail.com

  7. I finally got a good photo of hubby and me on our cruise. If you would like to share your email address, I'll send it to you. I tried doing it here but it wouldn't let me do it in the private message.

  8. I wish you all the best for an easy surgery and uncomplicated recovery. I'm sure you will be fine. We tough old broads need to stick together.

I have to tell you about my weekend. We had a dressy affair to attend. I got a new outfit but did not show it to my husband. I went into the other room to dress and he did not see me until I was finished. He got so choked up when he saw me that he couldn't speak for a minute. It works!

  9. I didn't mean any offense. It is just that is it such a serious surgery that you always want the best. We had a situation here where they were offering very discount laser eye surgery and then there were hundreds of cases of major problems with peoples' eyes.

I wish you the best. You will not regret the surgery.

  10. (Part II - they don't allow a longer message)

My challenge is I'm having friends the end of next week for dinner and I've chosen to tell no one but my immediate family about the surgery. I'll still be on mushies so it will be a challenge to figure out something to make that they won't notice that I'm not eating like them. Once we are off mushies it will be OK. We can order an appetizer. I love appetizers any way. I've ordered them as my dinner before.

  11. I feel great. I have always been the energizer bunny. I've run circles around my family forever. The past six months I was slowing down and I didn't like it. It was because my legs and feet would hurt too much. That was part of the push for me to get the surgery. (Of course, turning 65 this month has nothing to do with it ;-) ).

I'm not sure about the pain in the shoulder. The doctor thinks it is gas, either from eating too fast, too much or swallowing air. I didn't have any restriction from swallowing when I got home, so maybe I'm drinking too fast. If it persists, I'll probably go get it checked out.

I do and don't miss the food I used to eat. I see it and think I want it but mentally it isn't that important any more (at least right now). I hope I can keep up that attitude.

  12. This site is a bit confusing.

The donkeys are adorable. Are they calm type creatures? I wish you lived closer, I'd love to see them.

I am doing great. I don't even feel like I had surgery. The first few days I weighed more than when I left. Since then I've lost ten pounds. I'm thrilled with that. But the last couple of days I've had trouble "eating". I was doing fine on the Atkins shakes, but I tried adding extra protein to them and can hardly get them down. I've been getting some pain in the back near my shoulder. I've emailed the doc as I don't think it is urgent, but if it gets worse I'll take further steps. I think there is a lot of acid in there.

You will do fine. The surgery was not bad. The only uncomfortable day I had was the second day when I was trying to get rid of the gas. I don't even feel as though I had surgery.

    Good luck.

  13. I took some Gas X but it didn't seem to work but who knows if it would have been worse. It took me a long time to (pardon the expression) "fart". Whe I finally started the doctor actually high-fived me. That is the best release. Works better than burping. It was uncomfortable but not horrible. I wasn't even tempted to ask for pain meds for it. You'll be fine.
