  1. Hi! I am new...newer than you! I have my consult may 30th. I also have bcbsil. I have sleep apnea and asthma though so I am hoping that will help speed things along...although I want to tell someone about the voices in MY head too!! lol Here's a bit about me: I am 41, mother of 6, happily married, stay at home mom I live near Bloomington, IL Nice to know ya!!   2. Hi everyone....kindred spirits! I have a BMI of 38.6 I have struggled with weight my whole life. I have asthma and I have recently been diagnosed with sleep apnea. I knew the apnea was sometimes a deciding factor for the insurance companies when deciding whether or not weight loss surgery will be approved. Sice I have the apnea diagnosis, I decided to start looking into the lap band. I have an appointment May 30th to discuss options and insurance. I am on the bottom rung of the ladder....still in the first step phase. My insurance carrier is BCBSIL. I welcome all advice. Thank you
