  1. Happy 40th Birthday 52209!

  2. Happy 39th Birthday 52209!

  3. That same thing happened to me. I never experienced that before until I rode the roller coaster at Circus Circus a few weeks ago ( 4/10 got my lap band 5/09) I couldn't shake the feeling for about 20 mins. or so. I didn't have any ear issues never have my in my whole life. I dont know what the issue was.
  4. I agree, the cold has definitely put a cramp on my style. I got the wii fit for Christmas so now I have no excuse even if there's a blizzard. Unless of course the power goes out. :) I did find a support group locally and am excited to start attending monthly meetings with them. I have still been stuck on my plateau as well but have refused to get a fill because I know that the fill is not the issue. I realize now that when I couldn't eat and actually had restriction I freaked out a little and was always testing the band because I didn't know what else to do besides eat. I'm working on those demons now. Have you considered seeing a therapist. A few ladies told me that really helps as well.

  5. Hey there! Thanx for stopping by lol... I am still stuck on a plateau. I am almost fully filled, 10cc on a 11 cc band. I am supposed to go in for a barium swallow to make sure that all is well in there. I can eat more than I'm supposed to. Its still not as much as I used to but its more than I should be able to fit. So I know there is more that I have to do to be successful but right now its just a big mental blah blah. How are you doing? Have you found any local support yet? I still haven't made to my groups yet. I hope things will kick into grear this spring at least. It's too cold here to do a darn thing lol...

  6. Hey there girl! Just wanted to see how you were doing? How did the holidays treat you. Have you made any traction on your weight loss?

  7. Hi 52209, I have been on a plateau for about 3 weeks or so now. I don't have my 2nd fill set until the end of the month. I am really looking forward to it. I know I am eating more than I'm supposed to. How much have you lost now and have you been on plateaus also? GB

  8. Hello, How have you been? It's been a long time since I've chatted with you. How are things going these days? Have you had to deal with any plateaus yet??

  9. Hey there! I hope all is well with you. Thanx for the support. I'm still on a plateau. I thought I was moving on when the scale was down 4 lbs. then 2 days later it was back up. I keep doing that kind of yo-yo thing. I get another fill soon so I hope that gets the scale movin down. How are things going for you? I read that the support at your Dr.'s is not too good. I haven't been to a group meeting yet but when I went for orientation I was the only lap bander there. I'm gonna try to go this month and see what it's like. But if you need anything an ear or whatever I'm here.

  10. I just need help getting out of a plateua. So that I can move foreward and loose weight.
  11. Hello, Dr McKinley at St. Marks Hosp. did mine. Who did yours? That's so awesome a cruise and you lost even better!!! I'm feeling good. I get my first fill on the 25th can't wait. I need restriction! How are you doing?

  12. Midvale Utah!!! That is so awesome! who did your surgery??? I'm doing really great. I just got back last night from a cruise and I actually LOST 2 lbs on a Cruise Week!! How are you feeling?

  13. Hello,

How are things going today? How are you feeling? Are you dealing with the gas pains now? If so take GasX chewables it worked well. Alot of people say that at about 11 days out that they feel back to 100% I think mine was 12 days but I was at 95% cause of the port. But now I'm great. Port is annoying still though. I'm out 21 days even though it dosn't seem like it to me. I've lost about 18 lbs so far. I would say from my own experience that it is worth it so far. I get my 1st fill on the 25th then starts a whole new thing. So I hope that goes well. You should google "the world according to eggface" this lady has a great site and lots of recipies that are band friendly. I hope that things are good. If you need anything let me know...BTW I only know where Manhattan is only cause we took our dog to the college once for surgery. My Kansas knowledge is small LOL...

  14. Hey there. No worries about the delay I'm in the same boat. How are you today? Any real food yet? I'm on real stuff except red meats and carbs and fruit. Weird stuff my Dr.s dietician said to do which doesn't match with all the paperwork they gave me. So I've decided to follow the paperwork. No pureed. Which is different from almost every thing I've heard on here, but I'm still alive so I guess it's ok LOL. I feel great. Working out on my Wii Fit that I love. The only thing bothering me now is I feel the port. It's not painful just annoying. Other than that I can't wait til my fill. I hope it goes as smooth as the journey has been so far.

  15. Hello! How are you today? How is the PB thing? 32 penne huh! Lucky! My Dr.s dietician said no carbs for a year and no fruit. That's different than what the paperwork they gave me. I think she's off a little. That's funny about the cranky thing. I noticed I was a little bit that way with my husband cause He was eating everything and I was a little bitter LOL but thats over now. I'm feeling great. I just cant wait for the days that I dont feel the port anymore if that ever happens. I sure hope it will. I'm still losing little by little. I got a Wii Fit and I love it! So i'm getting there.
