  1. I was just thinking something week to week. Track your food with a small little note pad that you can just put in your purse or back pocket. Continue to do your regular work out and then incorporate and exercise or activity that you thought was exciting or I wish I could do that and try it. Blog about the the activity and how far you got with or if you conquered it along with it post your current weight. I was thinking about doing this myself but that would be cool to do make a piggie bank and for every pound you lose add that many one dollar bills to your bank, if you gain take that dollar or dollars out. Once you make your goal break your bank and use that money for your first new outfit in your new body. Just an idea. What you think?

What are you looking forward to???

HEY EVERYBOD!!! I know with all of us getting our health in order and we are making goals but what are you looking forward to the most. It could be the compliments you get a along the way for us who just started or for those of you who have made your goal what were you looking forward to more than anything in this world. I know for myself I want to get on a plane and be able to sit in my seat without pulling the strap all the way to the end just to get it to fit around me. Also to sit in my seat and not have my thighs smushed together by the armrest. I CANT WAIT!! So if you have anything your looking forward to post it!!! TTYL, B.

    Biggest loser with lap band

I was thinking that myself and anybody that was willing to have our own biggest loser challenge. It would be just a friendly challenge to get each other motivated and on the road to losing and sharing our stories together. I'm not gonna lie and I know that I'm going to need help and if there is anybody interested hit me up. I think it could be a positive out come for everyone involved.

What are you looking forward to???

Yeah I dont know who picks the clothes for plus size women in some of these stores, but I guess the clothes tell the story. Ugly clothes so you dont draw attention. However I'm ready for a 16, 14 or even a 12. Coming soon to a body near you...lol...

I need help deciding is this for me?

CHARCHAR I dont think any of us can really tell you whats best but to do your research. I thought the same way about weight lost surgery and came up with the same conclusion as you. I looked around and I knew I didnt want to permanetly cut my stomache. I have heard stories of people having other surgeries and they start gaining weight back from it. Well there isnt much they can do cause they got this switched, or cut and so on. I choose the lap band because for one I didnt want to lose a lot of weight all at once. I wanted to lose weight at a nice a steady pace so that way I am able to to work on the whole flabbie skin thing before it be comes a huge issue where with the other surgeries you drop all this weight without really having to work out but then its the issue of skin and plastic surgery and just a lot of stuff I didnt want to go through later. I think the band makes you concious of your eating and causes you to re thinking your eating and what else you can do to lose. Of course you have to go in for fills which I havent down because of where I work but the people who have been able to get fills on a regular baises are doing well and are winning at losing weight. I dont know if this was helpful or not but I do hope you find a procedure that you think will be beneficial to your needs and goals but also teaches you about eating and how to be successful in winning your own weight battle. All the best to you!! B.

    What do I do???

Thanks for the info Lena!!! I think I get ahead of myself sometime, but slow and steady wins the race. I guess I look at other peoples success instead of focusing on whats going to make me a success. I get caught up but I am learning and I think that will make me successful in the long run learning from my mistakes, and listening to the advice that you and stacy have to give. I've been to your page and you have a lot of valuable information for people to look at. Keep up the good work, thank you for help and best of luck in your journey as well. HUGS from deep in the heart of TEXAS!

    What do I do???

Okay well this is my first time being on here, I posted on obesityhelp.com and found this site aslo. To begin I had lap band surgery on Feb 18, 2009 and started out at 274 on surgery day. I weighed myself and I only lost 16 pounds down to 258. A week after I had surgery I flew back overseas to go back to work the flight was fine. I have had good days eating and bad days. I didnt work out much in the Month of March or Arpril. In March I was still sore I guess because of the flight and my incisions hadnt healed all the way. In April I felt much better but I was doing to much working out because 10 to 15 minutes I felt real tired and winded so I toned it down. I finally got into a routine and got up to 20 to 25 minutes on the elliptical. At the end of April I took on a step aerobics class MWF which last about an hour and doing another 45 minutes later on in the night. I also work out on T-Th for 45 minutes the extra work out is on the elliptical. Even with all this working out I just wanted to know is it normal not to lose. I havent had a fill since my surgery and was thinking that was the reason but I dont know. Does anybody have any answers.

Thank you so much and if you have any other helpful information please share... B.
