  1. Cathy, Thank you for your comments. You bring up good points. I am blessed to not to have to worry about insurance covering the procedure, but I have high cholesterol, borderline diabetes and thyroid disease and my physician contributes all to my weight. So I might be ok. Actually I am most concerned with the down time after surgery and the post-surgical diet. Thanks!
  2. I just joined this site. I am 50 lbs overweight and am considering the lapband. I have a consultation appointment on Thursday with Dr. Simpson in Phoenix, AZ. I'm nervous but desperate. I am in a senior management role with a Fortune 100 company where I am required to travel alot. The job is also stressful, hence why I'm so overweight. If anyone used Dr. Simpson I'd like to hear about your experience. Thank you.:thumbup:
