  1. O.K. after two days of the soup diet, I am down 3.5 pounds! ... yea!!!! I have told my sister about this diet, she wants to try it - and possibly her hubby too. Has anyone made it through a week and what was your results?
  2. This is my first post. And I must admit that I am quite captivated by the “soup saga.” I have been banded for 26 months. {un-fill for 3 months – gained 15 lbs!!!--- disaster} My weight loss has been very – let me say VERY slow and seems to have gotten worse lately. I am however very happy over my 60 lb loss. Would not have been able to do it with out my best and worst of buddy – the band. I was googleing around – and found this sight. I am so delighted over this forum. After reading many of the threads, I have managed to gain some new found optimism. There is hope – and I am not alone. I do not know how to do the ticker thing to show my progress – but will play around with the site until I figure out how to make one. I started the soup diet today. I am so encouraged --- I don’t know which one I am most excited about – this forum or the diet. Thanks to all of you for being so real in all of this. I will keep you posted on my progress.
  3. Hi I am so excited to find this forum! I was 'banded' in April 2006. I have certainly taken my time about loosing the weight. I have however - managed to loose 60 lbs during the first 16 months. YES!!!! ... Then major set backs. Just days before hurricane Katrina -I went in for an adjustment. I realized that it was a little to tight but, I thought that it would loosen up after a few days. Keep in mind that we were told that Katrina was heading to Florida . Within a few days after my fill, things went from bad to worse for me. I will post this story later. Eventually, I had to have all the Fluid removed - because of bleeding ulcers... (the band did not cause the ulcers - liquid Vitamins and migraine headache medicine sat in my irritated stomach too long). Any way --- it has taken me 6 months to get back to my pre-Katrina weight. I am not discouraged. I have changed a lot of bad habits that made for my slow weight loss; and, I am expecting to speed up the loosing process. The band has been my best and worst of friends. Without the band this past year, no doubt I would have gained 20 lbs instead of loosing the 15. I look forward to meeting each of you through the forum. Look for my posting - I guess I will say something like - "Bands and Katrina..." or something similar... Donna - d
