I met with my surgeon yesturday and I am now awaiting insurance approval. I was told that once I am approved I will be banded in August. I do not have a date yet. Can anyone tell me how long it took to get an approval from the insurance company?

I am currently waiting for approval from my insurance company, however, I met with my surgeon yesturday and once I am approved I will be banded in August. I am very nervous and would like to know how does your body feel in the first week after surgery? does it hurt really bad?

I have just completed all requirements for the lap band surgery and have met my weight requirement and I am waiting to hear from the surgeon to set my surgery date. I am nervous about how I will feel right after surgery. I would like to know as far as pain goes, what to expect.
