Hey Nicole - glad to see ya! I was going to txt you but didnt know if mike still had your phone and I didn't want to get him in trouble at his NEW JOB - woo hoo - how's that going? How long till you have internet at your new home? Sorry you're so tight and having such a hard time - maybe you should get a little unfill - is that an option? April - I'm so proud of you! It's hard to come back after a long period of time but making that appt is the first step so you'll be droppin weight again in no time! Let us know how it goes! Pammie - oh those darn migraines - wish I was there to give you a Maxalt! they really help! With all this economy crap we are all bound to stress out sooner or later! Feel better soon!!! Heather, Riley & Tina - I wish you guys the best of luck! I don't know how you handle all that stress - not knowing from one day to the next who's gonna get laid off, how much $ you'll be bringing in - will you be able to pay your bill.... ETC! My hat goes off to you ladies and all you can endure! Riley, glad that extra weight is off! Jes, Doc Fisher was cool. He said SIX incisions, he will use dissolveable stitches w/glue over the top and promised to do his best LOL. Asked about the port size and he said it's "1 size fits all" All Kaisers have the same contract and use the exact same band and port on everybody. The amount of fluid you get at surgery depends on how lose the band is. Said the thighs are the LAST to go :frown:. The nurse that checked me in was confused... She thought that I already had my surgery LOL. 13 days and counting! Also, Jes... I've been having a "moment of pause" every day! But push it out of my mind! I know I NEED this or I will continue to yo-yo for the rest of my life! I bought the cutest jeans at Ross yesterday.. size 14 (stretch, of course) My intention was to have a pair of jeans that I can wear after surgery (when those 15lbs fall off that everybody has told me about) problem is, I tried them on when I got home and the FIT! Grrr... BUT, they are snug in the thighs so they will still work. I swear, it all depends on the brand!

Hi Ladies, Miss you too nicole! Glad things are working out at the new place! Tina & Riley - I'm up too.. 201 - I weighed in with Doc Fisher this morning! All this wedding crap - I'm so ready to resign as matron of honor - for real! cake baking/tasting, wine tasting, food tasting... I'M DONE! I've gained 2lbs over it and I know it's only 2lbs but that's where the ball starts to roll for me! I can't go in the wrong direction! Welcome Pat! Just don't be late for Orientation... They will ask some silly questions and the answers are, you can't chew gum with the band because you may swallow it and it will get stuck, you can't drink thru a straw because you will suck in air that way and can stretch your pouch - oh, and caffeine can cause ulsers LOL. The class gets pretty full so I don't know if you can bring somebody to the orientation but I do know that they encourage you to have a "support" person - Heather, why didn't your boyfriend come in with you at orientation?... would they not let him in? Pat, don't be nervous - it's just alot of info like a lecture - EAT & DRINK in the morning before you get there - you want to weigh your most. No losing weight before! Start losing after breakfast/after class LOL. Don't let Doc Fisher scare you away from the band - he prefers RNY and usually gives the orientations there. Stick with us and we well get you thru it - this site and these ladies have gotten me all the way to surgery date - 9/14/09! woo hoo! Everything is done but my perggers test - Chris you better not have jinxed me - LOL. Will do that Friday. Jes, shopping will work out good on Thursday - don't worry about the so called physical - just did that today and all he did was listen to me breathe - didn't even get to get naked (shoot!) Heather - how's school going - or should I even ask at this point... Sorry you missed the test but what about the 6+ chapters you are behind.... can you borrow a book from somebody over the weekend or check out cliffsnotes LOL. Hey April - how did the singing in the park go? Would love to hear you guys some time. Hope your soreness goes away soon - what did the ins. co say? Hi Donna! You know I'm never frustrated with you! No worries about Saturday, none of us made it - construction stopped us all! We shoulda went anyway just to watch the workers LOL. I don't want you renting a car to come Thursday! Hi Ladies - Chris, thanks for posting about Doc Fisher - sounds like he's one of the Docs that puts alot in in the beginning and it's good to know he's so nice and understanding - i will be meeting with him on the 31st! Sorry, Jes, I don't have a list yet... I'm a slacker! I got my clear Liquid Protein shots for the first few days and thats about it - I already have a body pillow. Gotta get milk of magnesia (I keep saying that) some sugar free popsicles & sugar free Jello. I have lots of decaf teas & broth already. Not really gonna get too much because this will force me to get up and out after the first two days or so. got my multi Vitamins & Calcium already too, been taking them for a while now. I'm in hell ladies - all these cakes and sugar i'm hooked again and I have to weigh in on Monday with my surgeon - so scared to get on the scale. Watching discovery health - plastic surgery for RNY patients. The skin is out of control! these surgeries are running about 40K. the ladies are getting thigh lifts, tummy tucks - breast lifts & bat wings removed - 40k for all that. Now, some Docs are cutting long lines down the center of the thighs and some are just cutting in the crease and pulling the skin up - it all depends on the surgeon as to how the scars are gonna be! Jes, I think I'm still gonna go next Wed to the group in Richmond - hopefully Bev will be back and I can meet up with some of Dr. Fishers peeps to see how he does. Just want to be prepared.... Want to know how many CC's I'll get at surgery and how long I will hafta wait for the first fill. Oh, gonna get some tylenol LOL maybe I can get some with codine in it (kidding)
