I showered today - but was worried about soap getting in the incisions or the water hurting as it hit so i kept my back to the shower and let the water run over my shoulders down my tummy hahaha. That's how the port feels, like it's gonna bust op en. Just keep in mind it's the muscle that it's sewn into that hurts - just the muscle! tomorrow i'm gonna call you and make you laugh like you did to me LOL. Seriously, it gets a little better each day from here on out. I felt stiff this morning but as soon as I got up and moving i felt ok. I find that the tylenol and/or the lortab don't make any difference - just that the lortab makes me queezie so I only took each of them once.

i love it when ur right side up! never been allergic to laytex before. I did use caress soap for the first time ever today. I usually only use Dove but it was empty when i got in the shower so i used my sister in laws caress body wash.... maybe??

Looking good nicole, even upside down LOL Jes, so glad you pee pee'd. Yeah, the port hurts alot but I havent taken any pain meds, they make me feel worse. the more I walk around the better it feels. Today is much better than yesterday - to be honest, Tuesday was the worse I felt! I had a shit load of pain in the port area on Tuesday but it was better wednesday and even better today. Today I went to costco, michaels & the post office - felt good to be outside in the fresh air but it was kinda hot today. Now for the important questions.... anybody get a rash after surgery? I got a rash on my tummy - not near the incisions but on there - it's red, itchy and reaised up like welts. if it doesn't go down by tomorrow I'm gonna call my PCP. Oh, nicole - I weighed myself about 30 minutes ago - don't know what posessed me to do it in the evening time but it was 197. I weighed in Monday morning at 201.2 so a little down. I think I feel my band - whew! I took a sip of water - just a sip but I had taken a sip right before that and all of a sudden I felt this little pain between my boobs and about and inch down. not fun! caughing and sneezing sucks just as much as laughing does right now! Jes, you'll feel better tomorrow - trust me!

Wow - I decided to try to eat something so i had gotten this soup - pacific natural foods brand - buttery sweet corn - it's really good - and it's thin, no bits, no need to strain or puree. Jes, I think you got the same one - it's good!

You know Maria - it's the funniest thing... I really DONT want to eat right now. Now, a week ago would have been a real problem but right now it's not big deal - makeing them for bridezilla's party Saturday - which, by the way, the groom to be told her last night that he doesn't think their relationship is going to work - Hmmm. Anyway, don't want to eat anything - I don't think I have any fluid in my band because I don't feel it in there at all - dont feel anything when I sip my water or eat my jello but just the port thing and the incisions gross me out! I have no desire to eat - still a little thirsty though.

Jes, I didnt walk outside at all, I live on a hill so I just hit my treadmill and did laps around the house. i began peeing like a race horse the in the middle of the night Monday night. Its slowed down now. My mouth would really like to eat something but my tummy isn't too keen on the ides. what a dilema - this may be the very first time that my tummy wins the argument with my mouth - to eat or not to eat Hmmm? No word from Robin but Jes said that she heard her say that she's not going to call just to move us from clear liquids to full liquids - I didn't write that down but today is day 3 so maybe, if I feel up to eating, I will try some cream of rice or some pudding or something. Gonna try to see a movie today or something!

Congrats Heather! I never made an appt - I just showed up at my PCP's office and said I need to be weighed and have it documented for Dr. Fisher in Richmond LOL Yeah, Doc Fisher did a good job - I'm impressed and oh so happy that he got all the gas out - just a little shoulder pain when taking a deep breath in on the day of surgery and thats it! Straight lines, unlike Jes' - sorry Jes! Reggie, dont think I got more strength than any of you gals - I think I was just so fortunate that the Doc got all the gas out - Seriously, not one burp, not one fart nothing - no bloat, no gassy pain - Nada! PORT IS SORE AS HELL! but it's a small price to pay - not so bad today thought - don't tell Riley Jane but right after my shower today I popped in the kitchen and made two cheesecakes - they're in the oven now.

Hey all - First thing I need to say is that I started tearing when reading about the animals - I can't take it! jes, glad you're up & on line - I feel really good today - didn't get to shower yesterday so my husband promised that as soon as he finished working out we'd shower. I'm ready to venture outside today - get some sun & fresh air but my husband is still skeptical. Kim - upset with you! really wanted you to come saturday but - I will forgive you if you come to the next one LOL. tina - hate to hear about all the stress you're under - that really can take it's toll on your health! Did I mention that all my scars are straight LOL sorry jes - just had to throw that in there - not to mention, they all look like thin little lines too - Tamra you may want to switch back to Doc Fisher - he got all the air out too! i would highly recommend him to everybody! he was also very encouraging telling me that he was excited for me at that all my hard work (losing the pre op weight) was about to pay off! Ayesha - my nurse told me that they do "way too many of these operations" daily. don't think she approved of them but she was so sweet anyway. Heather - I know you'll get that 20lbs off quickly - i still can't believe how fast you lost the 60 - not that I didn't have faith in you or anything but, you know....! hard to do!! Ok, Kim, Tamra, Maria - no carbs ladies! lotsa water and NO CHEERIOS! April - you haven't mentioned the accident - are you still sore? how are you feeling??? Pammie - you good now that you got your unfill? Nicole - my baby is growing up so fast :thumbup: I too wish I was raised with more knowledge of religion. My father was an alter boy but by the time i came around he was all done with that. Kinda hypocritical if you ask me! Beating my mom, cheating on her, drinking - shooting up drugs.. not very alter boyish if you ask me LOL

it's the 4th saturday of every month at kaiser point west in sacramento. so the 26th of this month. maybe we can roll together. don't know if jes or i will be up to driving yet LOL

So cool, she'll be on her way home shortly! I got so light headed when I was standing there trying to take those x-rays - had to stop & sit for a second.

So, not such a good idea to be watching Bill Maher right now - laughing hurts - so much for it being the best medicine hahahaha. Barney would be a better choice - Nicole, work that clean up song girl!

Oh, yeah, Riley - I was in and out like speedy gonzales! I didn't even know about the hernia till my husband told me on the way home hehehe. I didn't bring my phone with me either because i knew my boss would probably call. he's so silly - he called my Aunt on Monday night to see if she had heard from me - I didnt tell her I was having surgery! grrr! Anyway - I'm sure all is well and she's just lounging in that wonderful green chair - boy i wish i coulda put that thing in my purse and took it home with me. Nicole, my cat is trippin! she keeps licking me and drinking my protein shot - is that gonna hurt her? She keeps licking the tops so it's not much but damn! I had to put the tylenol bottle outta reach because she keeps trying to lick the cup on that too. The worst part is she keeps trying to climb on me. April - I don't plan on gaining any pounds back but if i do, you'll be the first person I call. I hope I can lose the weight like the rest of you ladies! Donna, how's the subbing thing going?

I don't have it, Nicole but maybe I'll text jes to see if marika has her phone.... what do you think? too soon? I wasn't up to texting or anything till I got home and settled - I was home around 1 so maybe we should wait till then???

Yep, Nicole - nothng else to do but sit on this computer. get up, walk, sit back down, get up, walk, sit back down.... blah blah blah. I'm still waiting for the shower - hubby wants me to wait for him so he can help. I got on line to check out my appts and the first one I have with robin is the 29th... thougth I was suppose to hear from her 2 to 3 days after sugery to move onto full liquids.... Not all that hungry, all I really want is popsicles & jello - had some broth last night but wasn't really into it. I would like some applesauce though and maybe some cream of rice - just something with a little more flavor. Still no gas pains! Riley jane - I took some liquid tylenol and I think it helped out cuz I can move around from side to side a little better without feeling like I'm being stabbed over & over again. the incisions are starting to sting a little but nothing to write home about. All & all I think this is a little easier then I expected it to be... I have a friend - brentinLA who emailed me that he was having surgery on the same day and I've been emailing him for the last two days and got NO response... Hope all is well Brent!! Jes, really want to hear from you all - probably still napping at this point LOL

still no word from Jes...? She said she'd have Marika txt one of us when she got out of surgery - sure she's just overwhelmed by it all.

Thanks ladies, really think I'll feel better after a shower - maybe I will wrap them! April, how exciting for you! Down in the 200's is a great step after being on that plateau for so so long. Did I mention that I weighed in on surgery day at 201 - oops! too many splurges LOL
