  1. Thetig, Paulawally, and babertm:

Thank you so much for posting. Yes my Dr. is VERY STRICT! I would love a SF popsicle, but he said it is NOT on the list and I can't have it. I have not been getting all of my protein and water in. I am trying really hard, but it is VERY hard to stomache the shake after so many days. My body has adjusted I think. I am not as hungry. I get a hunger pain at around 6:30ish. I make sure to drink some protein. I mixed carnation with my protein shake to try to get more bang for my buck. The walking, rocking, and rolling did help with the gas! Thank you for sharing your ideas.

  2. I was just banded yesterday, 05-05-09. I am STARVING and full of gas. How can I get rid of the gas and what can I do to make the hunger pains go away. I am on a protein shake diet until 05-26. I want to be successful, but I AM SO HUNGRY. PLEASE HELP, I don't know how to make my new tummy stop hurting or growling. I can't have broth and I don't know why.:)

  3. Congrats! I will get my band on Tuesday so I understand how you feel. I am so nervous, yet so excited. I really hope my journey is as successful as the journeys I've been reading about. I really HATE protein shakes, bars, etc. So, I know this will be a hard 3 weeks for me. I want to do everything right, so I don't mess up my tummy. I am on a low carb diet in preparation for the surgery, but I don't really know whats off limits and how many carbs I am suppose to have a day. I have read labels and I try not to eat anything with more than 4 or 5 carbs. I had 10 pretzels today with cheese cubes and Genoa Salomi, because the cheese had less than 1 carb and the Salomi had 0. I really want some melon, but I don't know how many carbs so I try to stay away. I really miss salsa, bread, soda, margaritas, and chips, but I think the end results are worth giving those things up. Add me to your friends list and try to keep me updated on your progress and I will do the same. Once again congrats on your band!

  4. Howdy! I am new to the sight and blogging. I am suppose to be band next week, but there seems to be a few kinks to work out with my ins. co. BCBS. My predetermination of benefits came through with minimal issues and now we're waiting for pre-authorization. I know this is a bit late, but I would love to hear from others who have been banded by Dr. Bonnor.
