  1. I guess every doctor is different, but how can you be doing oatmeal already. I have to be on full liquids for 10 days. I am still having some shoulder pain, but I don't think its' gas anymore. Went to my chiropractor today, and that helped a lot! One of my incision sites is looking a little infected, so I'm trying to head that off at the pass. Other than that, I'm feeling pretty good!!
  2. I didn't have a BM until Friday, and my surgery was on Tuesday. It was pretty runny and green (but I had been eating green jello...) I have another problem from quitting soda preop, I ended up with a fissure which is EXTREMELY painful. I'm hopeful that as things get situated, it will get a chance to heal. But I am VERY cautious to not get constipated. My doctor recommends Benefiber or one of the water soluble fiber things. They say that fiber pills may gum up the pouch. So, once I get a little further along, I plan to start back up my Benefiber.
  3. Hello to all! Here I am - Banded on 9/1/09. Slept most of the day today. Remembered to take my Vitamin and am starting to feel a little peppier. I think the regular Vitamins are very tough on a regular sized stomach, so they would be REAL tough on our banded bellies. I didn't have any problems with the chewable ones. I also haven't had any trouble with the Vicodin, because I think it breaks down before it gets to the band. Anyway, a little tender still today. Most of the gas pain is gone. I had a lot of it sitting on my chest and in my shoulders. Walking does help! Looking forward to starting full liquids tomorrow! Glad to hear so many are doing so well! Take care everyone! C
  4. Here I am - quaking in my shoes! Lap Band Surgery scheduled for September 1st - have to be at the hospital at 11:15 a.m. All these liquid diet people are making me nervous. I didn't have ANY of that. Sooo, I'm sipping my last bit of water before midnight and going to try and go to sleep. Will let you know how I make out!!! Best of luck to my fellow September Banders!!!!
