  1. Hi all, Just wanted to let you know that I had my surgery on the 7th and am now doing well. I had a few rough days with nausea and gas, but things seem to be settling down now. I am feeling like myself again, haven't had any pain meds in days. I am so excited to see how this progresses. So far, have done only Clear Liquids. I haven't had any hunger until today, so I may start some applesauce or pudding. Glad to see that everyone who had surgery recently is chugging along okay. And good luck to all the upcoming bandsters!
  2. Angela, I am tracking my calories on sparkpeople.com and I'm usually staying between 900 and 1200 a day. Thanks for the great tip about the pudding, I just got back from the vitamin shoppe and stocked up! My surgery is at noon on Tuesday, how about you?
  3. Thanks Karen! I've been on the preop diet for 12 days. I have been making sure I get 60-90 gms of protein every day and no more than 30 carbs. I have also been going to the gym for weights 3 times a week and doing cardio on the treadmill for 30-45 minutes EVERY day. And I'm also drinking what seems like 5 million gallons of water a day, too, lol. Just trying to get those habits in place for after the surgery.
  4. Hi everyone, I've been lurking for a while and since my surgery is in 4 days, I thought I'd join you all. I'm in Austin, Tx and having surgery with Dr. Fass. Luckily, he let me do low carb for the pre-op diet and it has been pretty easy. Down 17 pounds so far. I'm starting to get nervous about surgery on Tuesday and looking forward to all the support here. Good luck to all of you!
  5. Try this group in Austin, I've heard that Dr. Ganta will take patients banded in Mexico. I know that SW Bariatrics will not. http://www.austinbariatricinstitute.com/
