    Anyone Else do this?

I've had the same question. Since my last fill a month ago, I pb everyday as well. I can't figure out if it's behavioral, or if my band is too tight. It is confusing because sometimes I can eat fine, other times it comes right back up. Frustrated!
  4. Dr. Smith did my surgery Feb. 3rd. So far I would say I like him and his staff. I've recovered well from surgery and had 1 fill.. ..the next one is due next week. I can't wait. I've thought about going to a support group meeting but I keep forgetting about it. It would be nice to talk to other people going through this as well.

Was anyone banded on Feb 4??

I was banded Feb 3. Right now I'm a little disappointed because I can pretty much eat whatever I want. I'm getting my first fill next week, and hoping to really get started losing weight. How is everyone else doing?

    Any February 2010 Bandsters!!!!!!

yes, i had my surgery feb 3. it's been just over 2 weeks now, and i'm looking forward to my first fill soon since i'm not really feeling any restriction. i'm also still healing so i can't wait to just feel normal again and for my incisions to close up completely. wondering how others are doing this month??
  7. Thanks for the reassurance. Now it's day 4 after my surgery and I am feeling significantly better. I woke up yesterday excited that I could take a shower and have a protein shake again. I'm having a hard time finishing my shakes, though. The gas pain has mostly gone, but I have this constant feeling like I need to burp.
  8. I've been experiencing weird aches and pains, and started dry heaving tonight. The pain under my ribs reminds me of a gallbladdder attack and hurts all the way through to my back. Is this normal? I'm assuming it is, but how did other people's recovery go? I guess I'm looking for some reassurance that nothing is wrong.
  9. Hello, I'm from Fort Worth, and beginning the process of trying to get my insurance to approve my lap band surgery. Where we are now, is that my BMI is high enough, but I must have another condition such as sleep apnea for them to cover. I'm going to schedule a sleep study soon. Has anyone done one of these before? Not sure what to expect. Actually crossing fingers that I do have sleep apnea, because I don't have the money to pay for surgery myself. I don't have diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. My only hope is in this sleep test. Hoping to soon be posting about upcoming surgery date! Background Info: I've been trying to find a way to this surgery for over 2 years. I finally decided to work part time at Starbucks so that I could get on their Aetna Insurance plan... which I had "heard" covers WL surgery. I'm finally on the payroll, have the insurance card, and am just hoping my bright idea actually works out. Wish me luck!
