  1. Hi dab,

You are an incredible inspiration to me. I started this process at 379 and am currently weighing in at 309 at 5 months post-op. I was also banded at WLSC in OPKS by Dr. Ellison. My husband is considering lap band surgery for himself-he is currently around 550. Would you consider talking with him, or e-mailing with him-would you consider being a mentor? I know how I have struggled with the ups and downs so far and know that it won't be an easy process for him either. I was just thinking that since we are in close proximity to one another, that maybe you would be willing to share some of your "tricks" with us.

    Im sooo disappointed in myself...

Also, have you taken a minute to praise yourself for all your hard work? That's important too

The stories here are inspirational...it sounds like you know what you need to do, but what is it that stops you from doing it? Sometimes, our will is not strong enough to "make" us do something...

    My fresh start

Walk it out!! Keep us posted on your journey!
  6. It looks like we were banded the same day...congrats to you!! I had a fairly similar experience...didn't stay overnight though. So far, so good...I am very hungary too and the broth, popsicles, and jello isn't quite doing it, but it is all worth it! Did you have laporoscopic surgery? I ask because the most discomort I hae been having is from leftover gas that hasn't worked it's way out yet...
