    I threw up...Not a PB.

I really appreciate you all replying. It took me by suprise. You know how it is to chew your food to smitheriense and then have that happen. It's different than a "user error." I will make sure to drink some hot tea before my next meal, which will be tomorrow. I'll be on liquids for the rest of the day today. It's nice to hear it's all the mucus. I started a z pack today. So with in a week I should be good to go!

Bunny Bandsters - April '09, MASTER THREAD #1

I just threw up. Not PB’d but the full deal. My stomach rolled and my brussel sprouts and tine bits of turkey reappeared. I actually had 3 stomach rolling episodes. Now I am concerned. Normally if I have an “operator error” I PB, at which time I lean over, open my mouth and a glob of slim reappears with food particles. That is what it is like for me when I PB. This was not a like that at all, I had 3 full heaves. I apologize for being graphic here. What strikes me as odd is the full meal did not come up. My lunch was a turkey burger patty. I had eaten ¼ of the patty. I prepared 5 brussel sprouts and had consumed 2 at most. While eating I was listening to my body, and before this episode, I had stopped eating. Put the remaining lunch I had left in a container. I plan to have liquids the rest of the day. My stomach does not feel sore. I don’t feel the full satisfied feeling either….guess I am baffled as to why I tossed my cookies. TMI – since I eat lunch as my desk I tossed the cookies in a water bottle. Because I am a gross person, I looked the contents over good. Bits! Small tiny bits I tell you! I don’t understand it? It’s not like I was chewing away and swallowed prematurely. Anyone have this sort of episode happen to them? On a side note, I am ill with a sinus cold or virus. Could this have anything to do with it?

    Drinks

Yes, you can drink alcohol, but you have to remember you are drinking calories. Empty calories.

    Still a little down

If you are unable to eat solid protein, it sounds like you need a small unfill. When you are tight like it sounds like you are, just a small issue can cause swelling. I'd have .1 or .2 taken back out.

    Insurance Bummer!

That is a bummer! I had to loose 15 lbs for my surgery and that was difficult for me. Yes, it was! I am a self pay and went to TJ, MX and had Dr. Ortiz do my surgery. Was a snap and cost a fraction of what it would have in the states. Not to mention he is VERY good at his job and is one of the top lapband surgeons in the world. Can you tell I liked him....LOL

Welcome back, I was wondering where you had been! Looking good!

    love / weight

I think it could be several things. Personal preferrance, it may be hard for us to understand, but some are attracted to a bigger sized person. Insecurity maybe.... Sorry to hear about your man friend. Have you asked him why he feels that way?

    post op headaches

How much of a fill do you have in your band? Sounds like you are overfilled and need to take some fluid out of the band. A good fill will allow you to eat food. Not being able to eat is a good indication you are needing a unfill. If you are that restricted and do not have any fill in your band I would recommend a few days of malox and liquids to give you band some time to calm down. Sounds like you could be swollen.

    So upset!

I was glad to see bashful1269 responded. (Great response) Hang in there. Remember this is the beginning, also don't compair yourself to others. You are you.

    Soft Calorie Syndrome

Very nice to see you are on top of being to tight! Hopefully you will be back to hard protein in no time!
  24. My band is a small size. It will hold 4 cc's total. Actually it will hold a bit more than four with the tubing and port. There are some advantages to having a smaller band just as there are advantages to having a larger capacity one as well.

Dare it is hard to see other people melt away, not that I begrudge them their weight loss, I would like to be right them along side of them. Really I thought I would be too! When I was a few months out, I thought, oh boy! What is wrong.

When I look at the big picture, I feel gratful and can see a big success. Just as long as I am not compairing myself.

I have lost 35 lbs! Now come on girl, let me tell it like it is....with out the band, those lbs would have had a home forever! My son is 22 months now and it felt so good to say I had lost my baby weight! Woo hoo!

Stay focused you are doing fantastic!

I'm ready to be at my sweet spot.....

Even though my fill story is different it is still similar. I feel ya! I have had 4 fills. My band in a 10 cm 4 cc band, and it is filled to 2 cc's. I do have restriction and am starting to loose some weight. For a while I was not loosing lbs but inches. Being at the beginning of my lap band process, this through me for a loop. Inches but not lbs in the beginning?! Nothing like being different than everyone else. My band was placed on April 24, and since I began, I have lost 35 lbs. I am happy and as long as I don't compare myself with others it feels great. Not compairing myself has been the harder part. (Which I would have never guessed I would have had that issue.) I guess seeing others melt away, while I stood still was a hard pill to swallow. Your weight loss has been great! Glad you blog!
