    Crazy ichy ???

Yeah, I had ALL kinda spots in different stages. It started with itchy hands, progressed to itchy arms thats why I started getting those spots. They were tiny at first, then they started getting bigger.. then they kinda merged to form red Patches. Then those patches got a little darker and finally now that they going.. patches have become little dots again. The center of the dots disappear first leaving tiny circle-like patterns.. then finally the circles disappear.. It started on arms first, then the legs, then the back. They're going in the same way they came. So my arms are almost ok now, legs getting there.. back still itchy.. I've been on a strong anti histamine dose too since it started. I wonder why it would take so long to settle down.. But what really helped me get through this was Aloe Vera gels.. it really soothes irritated skin.. I hope this helps Helen. Goodluck!

    Crazy ichy ???

The exact same thing happened to me. The surgeon couldnt tell what was wrong with me. Im hoping it is an allergic reaction to the whey Protein i had.. I still dont know though. Ive had it for a week now.. sometimes it seems like its getting better.. some days, like today it feels like its getting worse All i can say is.. Im confused! :drool5:
  6. Oh-kayyy! I'll be prepared for the worst.. Also will stay positive and be happy to lose any weight.. Thankyou all! But be warned I'll come crying back to this forum, if things are not going well. Surgery is coming up soon and I'm nervous! Thanks again for all your good wishes. I'll see you all on the other side. Cherry.
  7. Hi all, Its absolutely fabulous to read everyone's success stories!! But now my expectations for myself are off the roof! I know that everyone loses differently. Im due for surgery on Aug 13th and I want to set up realistic goals for myself. I have a BMI of 33. I weigh 211 and GW is 130. Just so I don't get disheartened incase I don't lose as much.. How much do you think I can expect to lose in say.. the first 10 weeks?

    More questions from a newbie..

That sounds great! Thank you all SO much for your very prompt responses. It feels really good to have a backup in this forum. I've gained a lot of courage and confidence from the stories I've read here to go ahead with VSG My blood work came back, I am now eligible for it and waiting for a date. (fingers crossed!) Thanks again! Cherry.
  9. Hello all! Im seriously considering WLS and waiting for bloodwork to comeback to see if Im a candidate for VSG. I was considering the band but the doc suggested VSG .. Im 27 years old. I've been a chubby kid and a yo yo dieter. Ive lost and regained weight way too many times to list. I currently weigh 211 and want to come down to 110 for my 5'5" frame. Strangely, I actually enjoy working out. Hate the treadmill but love to trek, kickbox, swim, weight train. food is too much of a weakness though. Im a stress eater, depressed eater, happy eater, mindless eater.. you get the picture :001_tongue: Usually I cant stick to a diet for more than a month. I'm very attached to food.. How do you deal with that? Also, How long do you have to wait before I can start working out with the kind of intensity Im used to? I know you're supposed to start with walking.. but.. Is there an alternate to walking..? (thats the ONE form of exercise I hate to do.. ) Thankyou, Cherry
