  1. Does anyone know if you can stretch your pouch by taking in too many liquids? I can still take a gulp of water in without discomfort, and I am concerned that I may stretch the pouch already. I am 11 days post op.
  2. Thank you so much for all of the support. I have really learned how strong and determined I am after this past week. I even cooked some of my favorite meals for my family and sat there at the table with them without even thinking about trying a bite. That was tough. We have a vacation now for the next week which I am sure will be just as tough with temtations, but I really think I should be OK. My doctor is like a drill sergeant and demands that we follow the specific diet, so I am grateful to have someone put me in my place. If it makes me healthier...I can deal! Good luck to all of you too.
  3. The diet must be doing it's job as I have lost 15 pounds in 7 days.
  4. The clear liquid diet must be doing good. I weighed myself this morning, 1 week post op and.....I have lost 15 pounds so far. Whoooo Hooooo!!! I am trying to stay as true to the clear liquids as possible. Today I get to start having milk, tomato juice, and creamed soups. Yeah for variety.
  5. Currently clear liquids only. 3 meals a day each meal consisting of 3 tbsp broth, 3 tbsp protien drink, and 3 tbsp of sugar free jello. Also allowed a sugar free popsicle and unlimited sugar free clear drinks.
  6. I cannot bear to eat the 3 tbsp broth, 3 tbsp protien drink, and 3 tbsp of sugar free jello. It makes me sick just to think about them. The only think I want to eat are sugar free popsicles, hot herbal decaf tea, and crystal light. I am dying to have something of substance. Any ideas.
  7. Well. Hopefully things will go great for the both of us. I already had my pre tests and all cleared. Good Luck.
  8. I am getting banded tomorrow and couldn't be more excited. I am ready for this new lifestyle I am about to begin.
  9. Congrats. I am hoping for a May or June as well. How long did it take from your seminar till your band date?
  10. I want to thank all of you for your kind words and advice. I think I am just fearful of the unknown, but on the other hand I am fearful of what I know...i will die of heart disease, morbid obesity (god I hate that term), or some other random weight related issue. I am going to a seminar on April 22, 2009. Are there any specific questions that I should ask?
  11. Thank you so much for your reply. I too have thought about the health issues too. I feel bad telling my kids that I have to take a break due to my heavy breathing or back pain. I am hoping that after attending the seminar, I will have more questions answered and maybe feel more confident in making a decision that is right for my family and I.
  12. Hello there. I am 30 yrs old, 5'8" 255 pounds and have 3 children. Have done WW, Personal Trainer, WW again, and even tried Symlin shots for weight loss. I am at the point where I only feel my full happiness will come when I can walked proudly into a playdate, birthday party, etc., without feeling like the Heftiest Honey around. I have had gall bladder removed and 2 c-sections where I do not tolerate anesthesia well. I am afraid of...well basically dying on the table, and someone having to tell my children that I was too vain to accept myself the way I was. HELP!!! I need advice and maybe some reality checks.
