  1. Hello everyone. I was banded Jan.6, this year. I have lost 47lbs since then. I lost 26lbs before surgery for a total of 73lbs gone today! I started with a BMI of 50 and it is now 38. My surgeon is Dr. Voellinger at Southeast Bariatrics in Charlotte, NC. It hasn't been an easy journey. I have had a few bad stuck episodes and my first fill was way too tight . But it has been worth the pain. I now have good restriction with 5.4 cc's in my 14cc band. Hope this encourages anyone who is worried about their upcoming surgery. It feels good to be a successful bandster! Good luck to you all!
