Is there any support groups in vancouver and area or kamloops or kelowna I can get to any of these areas. I live in 100 mile house . I would really like to talk to bandsters to hear how they are coping with band. Also if anyone is dealing with Barretts Esophogits and band I really need to talk to you. Hi there I was wondering if anyone has had to deal with having a band and finding out you have Barretts Esophogits. I have had continual trouble from time of banding. Everyday throwing up 1 to 5 times a day, depending on how many times I tried to eat or drink anything. Even Water on bad days made me throw up.I have had all saline removed from band for a long time. I had a scope and dr found out I have this problem in my esophogis. I have had band for almost 2 years now and am really close to making decision to have it removed as my quality of life is so bad. I am either throwing up or in pain most times I try to eat or drink anything.Has anyone been diagnosed with Barretts. Can you cope. Any suggestions. Also has anyone experienced following a couple of alcohol drinks you can eat easier and more variety than days when you have no alcohol. Wierd I know and not that I drink often but I have noticed this on occasions you have alcohol that I am able to eat finally. Would really like to hear from fellow bandsters and would appreciate input.....thanks deb

who in mexico did you see? how long wait to have all done? If you dont mind what did you have to pay? Did you think it went well with dr and facility?

Hi Ang I JUST READ THROUGH ALL YOUR BLOGGING FROM BEGINNING TO MAY 18. i AM GOING TO DR WOODHEAD MAY 29 FOR FIRST CONSULT HAVE HAD ALL MY BLOOD WORK AND YUKKY ORANGE DRINK. HAVE YOU HEARD FROM ANY OTHER OF HIS PATIENTS? ARE THEY PLEASE WITH HIM AS A SURGEON AND FOLLOW UP DR ? I AM REALLY STRESSING ON MY DECISION TO GO THROUGH WITH THIS. I READ SOME TERRIBLE THINGS CAN HAPPEN AND IT WORRIES ME. I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU AND IF YOU KNOW OF OTHERS ITS COMFORTING TO TALK TO SOMEONE WHO IS GOING TO THE SAME DR. THANKS DEB

Is there any BC banders out there? It seems banders are from US and back east Canada. I am having my consult appointment May 29 with Dr woodhead in Delta BC. I am still struggling with knowing if im going ahead with the right thing. The way I look at it for me is Food is an addiction. Im eating for comfort and boredom and just because. Im always eating. Other addictions you are to quit and are to never have again. With food you still need to eat so I find this the hardest addiction for me. I know other addictions are very hard for other people. I would sure like to talk to others and get a better feel for my decision. THANKS! D :devil:

I was wondering if there are longer term banders writing on their lives with band. I read lots of new and losing weight blogs but what about the long term views? How many years are the longest banders? Have they maintained weight loss? Do they still feel the did right thing? Any medical issues long term? I dont see anyone writing on these issues. Please write if you are or no of long term banders! Thanks !:cursing:
