  1. Dennis, May I ask why you had to have a new port ? How long did the first one last and congratulations on your success. Sets an example for me.... Marie
  2. Hi, Had my surgery with Dr. Kruger on March 26th. I know you will love the care at Toby, they are great and the team Dr. Kurger has put together for the pre- op and post- op are all caring people. Good for you, Marie
  3. Hi everyone, I can tell by reading the messages you are a caring group. I was banded on March 26th and it has been no picnic so far. I have terrible pain in my port area, really burning hot when I move wrong. Seems to be anytime I use the muscle right there. Any thoughts on this? I am 57, a nurses aid, wife and grandmother. Love most of my life and thats why I wanted to do this and loose the tired half of myself. I hope to loose 130 lbs more, down 20 from when I started this whole thing. I had Dr. Ray Kruger from the Southcoast group in Wareham for a surgeon.
  4. Reading the posts you talk about port pain. Does this sound like it? I am 10 days out of surgery and the port side of my abdomen is terrible when I move enough to use the muscle there it burns like fire and tightens up. It's so bad that I can hardly get in and out of bed. When I went for my week check-up the NP told me that it was probably where they had stitched my port to my muscle but she said that only one other person had ever complained of such pain and could give me no indication when it would go away.
